Am I seeing this right?? One is deducted after half. Jones didn't call 1 timeout. Don't think I've ever seen that

seemed like more than enough tv timeouts. You ought to be thanking Johnny for not calling timeouts.

He called a timeout right at the end of the first half.

I'm pretty sure LSU called it, but you may be right.

Good. Basketball timeouts suck.

He's in game time panic mode. It's so crazy because it's exactly what would happen to Les. Really, watch, during transitions you'll see JJ yelling 'offense/defense' along with the fans.

So he could ask the ref how many timeouts he had left.

I watched the whole game and my "call a timeout" radar never went off. The flow of the game never felt to me like a timeout was needed.

This is a reach.

Just looked back at the box score. He called the obligatory timeout before half at 36 seconds which resulted in a rushed 3-pointer by sampson with 6 seconds left after completely missing the rim. No timeouts used in the second half. I guess he thought we were in complete control up 3 for most of the last 3 minutes of the game.

I really don't know what he has against using timeouts. Our guys were dragging late in the game. And 1 or 2 could and should have been called in the first half during their run. It's almost as if he gets too caught up in watching that he forgets he has them.

JJ is definitely worse than LM when it comes to clock management and having the right personnel out there during crunch time!!

LSU called two timeouts in that game. No more than that seemed to be needed, imo.

I disagree, JJ should have called a couple timeouts in the 1st half. When a team comes in shooting 60%+, you have to try and do something to get them off their rhythm. The first 5-6 possessions for NC Central, they had wide open looks and were stepping right into 3's. JJ should have called a timeout and either tweaked his defense or changed it. I wouldn't mind seeing this team play a loose full court press. We struggle coming out and being aggressive to start games. If we pressed i feel like it would get us moving up and down the court. Now, the press could also give up some easier opportunities for the other team. I just think our length would do well in a press.
