Davis will head to Lamar and not coach this season at LSU
Replacement for Cain's position coming next week, they have to dot I's and cross T's, former player not sure who yet, there were several candidates.

The Vegas odds favorite is Micah Gibbs.

CPM had stated this would happen at the LBCA coaching clinic this past weekend. I was shocked he said it there

They plan to do more with coach's committee as well since Cain takes over those duties, increase membership, maybe at different levels and additional events.

I thought Ibarra signed a minor league contract with some independent minor league team this past summer after he graduated. I can't find a link confirming it. Did I dream that?

I think Zeph Zinsman would be a great new director of ops.

Before everyone gets all in a tizzy about who they hire for this, it should be noted that Cain was the director of operations and NOT a "coach". That position is basically all about administrative stuff like booking hotels and flights and the other day-to-day administrative stuff. I can see the non-knowers on the Rant coming here thinking the next "coach in waiting" should be hired here and ready to bitch about it.

I doubt he'd take the job. The box isn't skateboard friendly.

That was Will Davis' position before he moved up to coach.
