Brennan throws darts when it’s not required, it was a few passes incomplete because he don’t know how to throw with any touch. Brennan suck arse

complete 59% of his passes for 345 yds and 3 TDs, 2 ints
on 40 plus pass attempts. The offense was gifted four turnovers and scored 24 pts. Punted seven times against a defense starting walk ons.

Those are deceiving numbers too One interception was a hail Mary at the gun and the other was his arm being hit because Deculus couldn’t stop a goddamn nose bleed he was so bad. Without all the drops and if Deculus can actually block on the first interception Myles has a crazy great day. Hell even if Deculus just blocks on that one play he has 400 yards and 4 TDs

You disagree with everyone critical of Brennan and say how well he played yet shite all over another player in Deculus.

Deculus did get beat several times, but Brennan has more time to throw than any other SEC qb on average, especially more than the MSU guy had.

There were breakdowns everywhere. This loss isn’t on one player, it never is. Brennan didn’t play great. He played timid a lot and missed a lot of receivers. Some receivers dropped balls. The o line got beat on numerous occasions.

The defensive scheme was absolutely atrocious. This was a total team loss. Anyone of these things gets 10% better we probably win. If they all do we probably dominate.

Don’t shite on one kid just because you want to defend another.

How many drops did they have, 3-4?

I don't know how many drops we had, but considering how few we had last year, even 3-4 seemed like a drastic change for the worse. Of course, on a few occasions Myles threw a bit behind his receivers, and those passes might have appeared to be drops on first glance. I'm sure the timing between Myles and the receivers will improve as time goes on. I wonder if, because of covid restrictions, the receivers weren't able to do the "10,000 catches" summer drills that were so important to their success last year.

In all honesty if we can start running the ball

That was the bigger concern for me. Brennan threw 2 picks but he got hit on one and the other was a hail mary. He was by no means perfect and indecisive at times, but it felt like we didn't even try to establish any sort of rushing attack. That alone would go a long way in helping him out IMO.

I believe we were in good rhythm to score on first drive before Gilbert dropped that pass

The ball was thrown behind Gilbert plus Brennan never saw Racey McMath get completely behind the secondary for an easy TD on the very next play.

We gave up 44 points in regulation. That hasn’t happened since Uga in 2013 and that’s why we lost period.

he got hit on one

If he steps up in the pocket, he doesn't get hit. Had McMath down the sideline for a TD or Emery underneath for no less than a first down.

Nobody mentioned the drop pass inside the 5 to Marshall that would’ve likely been a touchdown. Pretty sure this was on one of the 2 FG drives.

My feeling on Brennan is that he's not the reason we lost but he didn't do enough for LSU to win. Myles could've easily had 500 yards and 5tds, and they weren't difficult reads. On 3 separate plays he had guys running up the seam where if he would've thrown it would've been scores. Im looking forward to this game against Vandy, hopefully there's growth for Myles from game 1 to game 2.

We lost because we didn't have the ability to stop their passing attack. Had we had a defensive performance on par with what we usually see from LSU, we win that game by double digits.

Thank you!

Yeah every drive that was killed was certianly not on Brennen, there was a wrong route ran by terrace that killed a drive, a couple drops that killed some drives, Gilbert standing in the middle of a WR's route killed a drive, a few missed blocks killed drives and of course Miles held onto the ball and sacked himself a few times that killed drives. but it was certainly not all on him and I think they will get better, probably not to a championship level but maybe to a top 10-15 level.

It was thrown well behind him, but if he's gonna be the GOAT he needs to catch it

One of those TDs was a hilarious heave to Gilbert. Got bailed out.

Like Cody Worsham said on Twitter. If Johnny Manziel had that same exact play it would’ve topped sportscenter.

Was it lucky? frick yes it was lucky. Was it also fricking awesome? You’re god damn right it was

Was he trying to throw it away or throw it up for grabs? My guess was the former

Absolutely!
Brennan played a good game for his first start.
