They are negotiating a new deal with Disney/ESPN, the current deal expires in October. They will have it by then.

Uggh, don't use satellite. You get what you pay for, yet every day there is someone here bitching about what they are missing out on. Storms block the signal, and they are constantly pissing and moaning with content providers like this. Just not worth it to me.

I have had satellite for 12 years and the "storms block the signal" may happen once or twice a year, poor excuse.

Funny part is Directv jumped all over the Big10 network the second they announced it.

They will have "alternate" channels. These will be 611-1, 611-2, 611-3, etc. when there are multiple games on. This is exactly what they do for the Big 10 network when they show multiple games. You don't need WatchESPN to see these games. Every game will be on DirecTV.

The SEC Network will be Channel 611 on DirecTV (right after the Big Ten Network) and will also include alternate channels that will be utilized whenever two live events air at the same time.

Dtv has SEC network, I'm watching right now.

Find a friend with cox and use their pswd for watch espn... It's not that hard.

Direct TV for NFL Sunday ticket, and espn3 through charter Internet. Best of both worlds. I'd try to change Internet providers before leaving dtv.

If you say so. Peole here are rationalizing that it "only goes out once or twice a year". My uverse has never gone out and has more content that I want than either satellite provider. If the savings are worth it to have that happen and not get SEC apps, then more power to you. I dont want to worry about borrowing logins and whatnot.

Pretty much everything involved with Directv is superior to Uverse. Had both for years. The Directv On Demand smokes everyone else's.
