I don't think less choices for local sports radio is a good thing. That being said, it happens frequently in the marketplace.

I do hope the folks who have lost their jobs are able to bounce back and resume their careers.

They are real people.

Can someone give me a decent list of sports talk shows in BR or NO? Living in FL, I try to follow what I can through the web.

Thanks.

Very sorry to lose these guys, especially Jimmy and Jordy. It was nice to have an alternative to the shits at ESPN and their professional sports bias, pro big market bias.

WTF Gospel????? What are the demographics for that audience? How many lottery tickets, payday loans and pawn shops can you sell commercials for?

May Rosco rest in peace!! (Jimmy Ott's show)

It's one thing to be an LSU homer, but I've never heard anyone contradict themselves like he does.

..that is total bullshite ...what garbage ...just what we need - more
praze jeeezuus baloney to spew to the weak minded ...

Personally - I enjoyed listening to the local sports talk guys. Maybe some of you thought some hosts were hokey , but they were our guys. Now, we got nothing. It sucks.

Gospel ???? Are you kidding me??

At least Candy and Sunshine that work at Sullivan's won't be sexually harassed on the air anymore.
And speaking of sexual harassment, come and join us at the Gold Club for a lunch buffet...we have fresh Manda's smoked sausage and it is spicy....just like the new barca loungers at Olindes...and speaking of Olinde's...can you imagine seeing these beautiful ladies dancing in your living room on a new
125 inch tv. I gotta tell you those guys at brew bachers sure can cook up a burger and how about them saints....they are something to watch....
We gotta pay the bills so we'll be back after this break on a hump day in the capital city of BaTON Rouge.

Don't really care to debate the secondary idea of your post but you do realize that if you listen to AM sports talk radio, you fit into that same profile?

This really sucks. I really enjoyed listening to Buddy during my lunch hour. It was a great way to hear about the LSU teams as I get nothing living in Bham. I enjoyed the callers' perspectives.

I dont know why so many of you complain about Songy and his advertisers. How the hell do you think any radio show would be on air without advertising? I also guarantee none of you could do that job. Its not as easy as it sounds to keep the talk moving and keep interest.

Now what? is there any LSU talk on during the lunch hour any where in La?

Guess its back to Rush

they may suck but now there is no daytime sports talk radio during the week at all. It sucks for us out of towners because this is where we got alot of our news outside of td.com of course.

In all fairness, Buddy didn't keep talking moving and keep interest for large chunks of time. Buddy would ask layered questions that sometimes went 5 layers deep and were impossible for the person questioned to answer. He also had too much 'food and drink' bad analogies in every segment.

Ultimately this was his downfall, bad radio. All that being said, I will still miss him lol.

Well, at least it's being 'weak minded' about sports, not something so all important as life.

I can tell who listened to Buddy a lot, just by noticing one phrase in their posts.

"with all that said..."
