That's why camp starts earlier this year.
Most teams were not doing true two a days anymore.
They were splitting squads up with younger players than vets instead of true two a days like back in the Bear Bryant days. At least that's how LSU has done it.
It's probably for the best especially in LSU heat.
Plus you get the extra days since camp opens in July.

We didn't take water breaks! I was a 180 pound pulling guard in the wing T, but I was tough as nails! Played with a broken leg my entire senior year!

Two a days really aren't necessary anymore. The original purpose of two a days was to get the players in shape. Football is year round now for high school on up.
