See how that works?

Why do we always have true freshmen and sophomores starting at QB? Whose fault is that?
umm, the NCAA, who prevents us from keeping Mettenberger another 5 yrs after he developed?

There are 2 ways to deal with QBs. You can have a system and just plug a guy in (usu his jr or sr year), and keep changing the guy out every season. Baylor seems to do this. Or you can earmark a kid, and get him on the field as early as possible, letting him play as he develops (Miles and LSU do this). Harris is a soph, he has 2 more years. We may recruit others, but the guy expected to replace him will be a fresh or soph at the most, and the guys in between will be for depth.

he difference is that in 2010 everyone including other fanbases looked at LSU and said next year is our year,
no they didnt. Everyone was saying 2012 was our year at that time.

You don't know that.
Do I KNOW it. frick, an asteroid could hit the planet tomorrow and we all die. So no one knows anything about tomorrow or beyond. However, am I substantially certain, is it nearly a certainty? Let me think. Is Little committing to LSU? If no, then yes, it is nearly a certainty there won't be any freshmen starters on the offensive or defensive lines. If Little is committing to LSU, great; and even better o-line.

Or that.
:smh: Really?!?!

If an incoming freshman can beat out the people LSU has now, well, that would be truly shocking . . . and even better than anyone hoped.

Convenient that you left that out, huh?
Oh look at you. You're so darn clever!! There might be a freshman at LB. Might. Beckwith might stay. You don't KNOW that. But I'd rather have a freshman in just one unit than freshmen in four units.

Most importantly, I'd really rather enjoy the fact that the QB, the position where the offense starts, will be a second year starter.

If LSU wins their bowl game, this should have been yet another 10-win campaign for Miles. This team is clearly better than the 2014 offering, even if there are still issues. People can throw out buzzwords like "decline" and "regression" all day long, however lacking they may be in facts.

If my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle.

The facts are, the team has declined statistically and record-wise ever since that abomination in the title game against Alabama. I'm not sure how stating that "isn't factual"

My goodness what a stupid article.

The truth is we have been in decline since 2008 with one anomaly year in 2011, and this article unintentionally makes that crystal clear.

We lost games from 2004-2007 (just like every program loses games in most years), but we were unquestionably a deeper program and stronger team in that period than we have been since.

We lost games in Miles first few years because we had a bad day, were undisciplined, etc. We lose games now because we face teams with equal talent and better schemes/coaching.

so you have complete confidence we will be a contender next year? Teams have figured out of to stop our 1 dimensional offense and if something doesn't change were going to continue to lose to mediocre teams like Ole Miss and Arkansas no matter how much talent we have
First, the offense we started for 2015 was NOT the offense we used against Alabama and following. LSU's primary FB and TE were injured, and those injuries forced a change in scheme.

Second, Harris was shaken after the Florida game. He was not productive against Alabama, possibly because of an injury, and he seemed to take a step back for the back end of the season. However, it is rational to expect him to be much improved next year, and, more importantly, to expect much greater production from the QB position.

Third, LSU's offense tends to protect the QB position when it is underperforming. 2014 was a perfect example. The beginning of 2015 is another example. The Alabama game is a third example. It is rational to expect LSU to have a far more open offense with a more experienced Harris next year.

Yea, because an avg of 43 att/gm vs said teams is so 1 dimensional.
You're as bad as those hacks at making stuff up.
