I assume you are referring to Bain. He played DE in the Spring Game and came out with three sacks. He was a rising prodigy in the Spring at that position. It will be interesting to see if we run a 300 lb DE this year...

I honestly believe Harris will start, and would have regardless of this situation.
If he doesn't, I'll buy all of your tickets.

but given history Miles will be starting Jennings come the opening game
at what point in history has Miles not started the QB best prepared to lead the team?

I hope that was a sarcastic comment about the point in history that Miles has not started the best QB to lead the team.
I don't like the message being sent to the team if Jennings starts the opener. Even if no charges were filed, it was poor judgment by all three of the players involved.
You can make a strong argument that Harris played at least slightly better in the spring game, but Miles historically puts less stock in spring games than most head coaches.
Also, Jennings has been suspended for a while, and he should have lost some ground to Harris for that.
And remember, it is McNeese they are playing, hardly a national powerhouse.

In the end, Miles will make the decision. He doesn't take anything fans say into consideration, so why would they expect it now.
Well thank God for that!!!

I have a sincere desire to watch these young men complete within the confines of legality.
And by virtue of said competing an indicative determination can perhaps accrue into the implication of a starter.

There were no charges filled because in all probability, the "Victim" was paid off to not pursue charges. We're sure that he, his friends and his relatives all got $$$$$$$ and/or LSU football and basketball tickets in exchange for not pursuing charges.
That's how it works. That's what "Team Clean Sweep" (LSUAD/TAF) does. Sweep it all under the rug and make it all go away.
If you or I broke into a dwelling, we'd be in jail right now.
Doesn't change the fact that the three involved are still criminals that broke the law and must serve some kind of game suspension. In-House punishment like having to clean the toilets in the Football Operations Center isn't going to cut it and suspending them for the McNeese State game will be worthless because they'll not be needed.
Miles needs to send a real message and not let them play against State AND Auburn................

Yeah people need to realize Lee was just as flawed as Jefferson and they were both no better than average; however, they were All-American quality compared to what Jennings has shown.
