He turned the Cleveland Browns into the #1 ranked defense in the NFL.
He took a Michigan State program coming off sanctions to a #7 finish.

he was not a 55 year old career dline coach.

Somebody loves repetition. When he turns 56 will you stop using this line?

And Dabo Swinney had zero head coaching when he was hired and has been very successful at Clemson.

Strawman arguments are fun.

Saban also went 12-0 in his second year at Bama.

Urban Meyer won the BCSCG in year 2 after taking over from Zook.

Hell, Chizik won the SEC and went to the NCG in his first year.

Can't wait to hear how O is still going to need a couple more years next season.

And successfully got his arse whipped by Gerry Dinardo who had a less talented team. The game was not even close.

I Wouldn't be comfortable with it, but I'd take a coach with zero HC experience over one with O's HC experience (record).

The comparison is beyond ridiculous. It's one of the most asinine arguing points out there.

And had Orgeron been successful in his first stint like Dabo we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I like to think people get better over time. Since Ole Miss, he's been 13-4 as a head coach / interim head coach. You'd rather take someone with no experience than someone with that record in the past 5 years?
