Game just ended. Seen a lot of talk about the winner of that tournament coming to BR for regionals. Don’t know the format of their tournament but I think that was an opening round game.

I think we're getting the SWAC tourney winner, especially if it's Southern or Grambling.

And if that does happen, we better start Blake Money game 1 as opposed to Hurd.

it's a 7-team tournament...

6 (McNeese) & 7 (A&M-Corpus Christi) played what amounted to a play-in game (which McNeese won)

from here on out it's a 6-team double elimination to the end

now McNeese has to come back from this loss at 11 AM tomorrow and face elimination against Incarnate Word

Thursday's games in the Southland (this tournament is being held at McNeese)

(6) McNeese vs. (2) Incarnate Word - elimination game
(1) Nicholls vs. (3) Lamar - Lamar eliminated with a loss
(4) New Orleans vs. (5) Northwestern State - 1-0 game

Nicholls is fricking good. They're gonna give any team trouble in the postseason and I'm sure we'll get them in our regional. They played the best game defensively I think I've ever seen against us. Hope we're ready.

They are a standard issue 4 seed. Yes they can win a regional game but they aren’t a contender for Omaha

The worst thing for them was beating us if they show up in our regional. Team is already going to be 100 percent focused but no way they slip and lose to them a second time.

Louisiana teams performed well so far on postseason. Only losses are LA teams beating each other so far. Even Tulane won their first game.

The game they beat us was a game where we didn’t play White or Morgan and we played about as badly as we could play while they made about 3 sportcenter top 10 plays

I’d take my chances against them again

I mean they’re a 4 seed, but there’s no doubting that last part. It is a little worrisome they’ll have their best pitching and we won’t if they make it to our regional. Would rather they get upset in their conf. tournament

Our 4 seed is the southland winner or Southern or Grambling

They play each other tonight in winners bracket of SWAC tournament. I’ll be rooting for either one of them to win it. Alabama St has a guaranteed W whenever their ace goes in that tourney. Hopefully he’s burned before they play Southern or Grambling

They had an inordinate number of opportunities for web gems in that game and converted all of them.

It was lightning in a bottle. I wouldn’t expect it again.

Start Money and let the chips fall. A 15-11 win is still a win.

I’d imagine Alabama St comes out of the SWAC and is sent to one of the Alabama regionals.

We’ll get the Southland champ as the 4 if that’s the case.

Silva is an excellent coach. If Nicholls makes a regional and has a good showing, he’ll get considered for Power 5 HC job. Don’t think he’s ready for that yet, but he may take a pitching coach job at a top tier program.

There is no rotation beyond Skenes and Floyd.
