I love Mo, but you have to go with Kalil. He'll be protecting Ponder's blindside for the next 10 years. Shore up that O-Line, get some holes for AP... I think it's a more pressing need.

So you are 100% sold that he is a lockdown #1 corner? I mean like Bailey, Revis, Asomugha, Woodson lockdown? That's what I'm talking about, and what you expect with a #3 overall pick.

I'm not saying Claiborne will bust. I think he will be a really, really good NFL player. I'm just not sold he will be more than that. And I think Kalil will be the best tackle in football within five years.

Wouldn't he be the highest CB taken in the first, tied with Shawn Springs to Seattle?

Yes, and Bruce Pickens to Atlanta at #3 in 1991.

3/4 are for sure HOF'ers. Are you serious?

I think the Vikings need to protect their "franchise" quarterback,so they go with Kalil. But as far as my draft board goes,Big Mo is #3.

I thought the knock on Kalil was that he wasn't a great run blocker?

Honestly, I would trade back and get more of a mauler type OT like that guy from UGA

He's always been a good run blocker, but he is probably the best pass blocking OT I've seen at SC in some time.

I'm hearing a lot of folks saying "The Vikings are bluffing" but I'm not so sure they don't really want Claiborne.

Being a fan of the Vikings for almost 25 years, I would love to have Claiborne. But.....I think they will take Kalil

I think they take claiborne. you don't need a stud lt to protect a less than average qb.

play some defense.

Assuming you think they are both equal, I'd go with Kalil, LT is a more important position and they usually have a longer shelf life.

JMO this is terrible logic. You need a stud LT to protect almost ANY QB in the NFL. I would even say that in most cases, the better the QB, the less you need a stud LT.

No, I used it as an example of how you often start to resent a team when you are stuck in the middle of their rabid fan base.

I also said that Cowboys fans are probably the worst in this regard.

Reading comprehension is FTL in this thread.

Depends on the need. I would think Kalil more for the Vikings.
