I am one of those people with the gold seats and I was there last night. However my first love is baseball so I will be selling my tickets for most of the softball games if anyone is interested. First row tickets. ljp4lsu@yahoo.com

Because nobody gives a shite about softball;

IMO LSU wasted millions of dollars that are sorely needed to upgrade other campus buildings. I do understand the "whatever the men have the lesbians must have too" mentality that rules decision making at colleges now. What a shame.

They should have named the name softball park, "Dick Dodger Stadium". It would have been more fiting.

I love how things are always a waste to people that don't like something. It is a valid sport, and many people do like it (my parents have season tickets to softball and nothing else). Sure softball doesn't make money, but it's not bleeding it as bad as some of the men's sports. The softball team does represent LSU well and now they have a field that is on par with the better softball school in the NCAA and a place they can be proud of, not to mention the ability to host a regional with pride.

Way to be a real man about it. If you hate women's sports then you must not be a true LSU fan. Women's basketball has carried both the men's and women's programs for the past 5+ years. And if you were a real important person you would see a HUGE difference in the women's locker room vs the men's locker rooms for basketball. The softball team and Coach G deserve a little more respect than your simple minded words. And you call yourself a Tiger fan?!?!?!

Well the reality is... my Tradition Fund and Football ticket money pays for that and I did not have a choice about it.

They should multiply the 800 fans by the ticket price and use that to pay for whatever that amount would buy. They should not expect other fans to pay for their ballpark.

I estimate 5 bucks per ticket, so that is 4G's per game. How many games.. about 20. So you have 80 Grand to work with... That should get you a nice size little league park!

They take in 80 Grand in tickets and they got a 13 million dollar stadium.

It will only take 162 seasons to pay it off!

Well since you are sooo smart why don't you figure out how they paid for a 40 million dollar baseball stadium with your so called Tradition Fund. Personally the old Tiger Park should be used for additional parking for a few of the other high attending LSU athletics such as Tennis, Indoor Track and Field, and the ever so popular swimming and diving which all use your so called Tradition Fund Contribution. So before you continue ripping on softball go get you a list of all the sports your Tradition Fund supports.

What will be funny is when some of you young dumb shits have daughters that want to play softball and you hear people like yourselves calling them dykes. I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see what kind of response you'll have to that.

well what other sports are having to pay for a multi-million dollar facility? I'd call that some serious bleeding inasmuch as softball is generating no funds to pay for such a facility.
