What do you think about moving him to middle linebacker? Given his size, speed and nose for the ball, with Chavis's coaching at that position he could develop into something really special. And, he could be used as the fifth rusher in passing situations.

I'd rather stay with the guys who have been at the position for the upcoming season, and recruit guys who play the position in future years.

we need more talent at the lb positions. he won't play at de this year with the talent and depth. wo give it a shot. if chavis gets "top end talent" at lb then the defense is going off the charts in the very near future.

I've been saying for a long time to move Mathieu to LB due to his abilities. His the only one of the roster that should be moved there and could be a starter.

Kind of small for a LB

Mathieu is about 180 pounds and would get destroyed at MLB.

As for Rasco, leave him at DE and let him rush the QB. Minter will be fine at MLB, no need to move anyone there.

With Mathieu at OLB and Trindon Holliday at DE, our Defense would be unstoppable!

Rasco is also great at using his hands to hold off/disengage blockers. I personally think it would be a good idea, if Rasco were able to fully commit to the position move. Would love to see a future LB unit of Trevon Randle, Rasco and Landon Collins on the field together. Also I think Mingo and Maclin will hold down the WDE/pass rushing spot for the next 3 years.

woud have made more sense to say that keke and maclin should move to LB...both 6'4, 240...good LB size right there...too small for DE i think...DE should be 6'5 250-265...think we need more size at LB....speed is crtical, dont get me wrong, but size would be a plus..

Negative. Mathieu only weighs 185 lbs.

He'd be better at left tackle.
