He knew exactly what he was selling.

But that's my point---He DIDN'T know the first damn thing about what he was doing! He thought because he knew a few people in football, he was gonna turn it into a money maker. He's portraying himself as a honest businessman that was taken advantage of and instead he was a victim of his own stupidity!
That's what Oregon gets (an maybe us) for dealing with a guy like this!

More than anything I am worried about Lyles and P Petterson.
If he is going to turn on Oregon what keeps him from doing the same on LSU?
It is not like Charles Robinson, the guy from Yahoo that tweeted
"YahooSportsNFL Charles Robinson
Patrick Peterson's denials about Will Lyles aren't credible. I have multiple sources backing this"
earlier this year when the A&M/Lyles/LSU/FJ/$60k stuff came out.
It is bad enough that he was working with Wetzel on this one, but supposedly he is working on one more on his own.

Well for one it looks like LSU had him in a system of checks and balances(pun intended).

It was long rumored PP's family took money before he came to LSU. The miami insider was the one who spread that story the day he committed to LSU. It never talked about Miles but PP's dad having his hand out. A rich LSU booster paid and this same insider said the same booster paid Bowe off.
I never even knew Lyles was associated with PP until recently. I doubt we'll ever see anything come of this. It would be hard to prove they did take money, depending on how discreet LSU was with it. That is, if it was ever true to begin with. We may never know.

the other Charles Robinson piece probably has more to do with Lyles thoughts on University of Texas whom Lyles blamed for this negative media last month

This is where we get fricked. South Fla.

Lyles would be the one to worry about if those accusations were true. I don't think they're going to find much of a paper trail with money years after it happened. Doesn't seem like much came out about PP/Lyles, if they even were associated as rumored.
I don't remember seeing anything during PP's recruitment that he was even associated with someone like him.

Cassius Marsh was committed and was yelling LSU LSU in the all star game. Between Auburn and Oregon, they seem to have tried to out do one another in slimy recruiting. Ironic how buying players got them from insignificant to playing in the national championship game. It starting to look like LSU took the biggest hit by these cheaters as far as losing sure recruits,

This post is confusing. Cassius Marsh and slimey recruiting and yelling LSU, LSU at an all star game. Talk about the proverbial "spider webbing" thought line.
Cassius Marsh ended up verballing to LSU and Cal and then going to UCLA. Auburn and Oregon had nothing to do with it.
Auburn went undefeated in the SEC the past decade and Oregon sat at #2 and got jobbed in '01 (should've been in the NCG game)
Also, LMJ and Lache are tied to Lyles. Not the entire football team. Btw, LMJ was recruited by no one special. Lache redshirted last year.

Read the entire article and you will see Cassius's name come up with Lyles and a picture of him with this guy. Trovon Reed was also associated with this guy but it was the agent from wal-mart who cashed in on him and Gregory Robinson. @ different agents=the same results. Kids without a stable home environment being led away from LSU. Greg Robinsons grandmother wanted him to go to LSU as did Lache's mother. This story is not going to go away. If LSU was putting a lot of money in these agents pockets, they would be playing for the Tigers.Cassius was committed until Lyles got to him. This may implicate UCLA. One thing for sure is, these kids didn't change their minds for free.

Cassius was a west coast kid that couldn't make a decision. Stop being butt hurt. UCLA is a common destination for kids in California. Not everyone wants to go play for LSU.
Btw, Lache sites a lot of reason he choose Oregon. Lyles may have had influence but there were lots of other reasons that Oregon would be an attractive destination. Lyles may have pushed him over the edge but there was real competition.

Cassius's Mom wanted him closer to home. In the end, she won out. Cassius wanted to be at LSU.

It wasn't nefarious though. Every team has been hurt in recruiting by the "over-bearing" mother. Tahj Boyd was a Duck until Mom wanted him closer to home.

This argument doesn't hold water. If moms had their say, as you suggest, then Lache would be in Baton Rouge. And also Gregory Robinson would not have gone to Auburn either. Robinson grew up a LSU fan.Don't get butt hurt if your program is being exposed for cheating. Cassius has the Lyles connection and he definitely steered players away from LSU as did his counterpart who was employed by Auburn. Oh, and Wal-mart.
