I will take him in Philly, rather him than Sanchez as backup. Kid needs a few years under a QB still anyways.

I hear you but I think Mariotto is a system guy

I don't think that is accurate. He might currently benefit from being in a great offensive system, but that guy has the look and intangibles of an NFL QB.

Mett seems focused. I think he will make it. Would love for the Titans to mess up and have him somehow get on with the saints.

airtight assumption right here.

The kid has never lost a game as a starter. He maybe a douche off the field. But on the field. He's a playmaker.

They can trade their picks and build a team. Someone like Washington is willing to find their next qb.

Yeah I was telling my Texans buddy they should have drafted him. Better team overall, struggling to find a qb.

I don't agree. Winston is the better qb, Mariotta is the better person. But Oregon has so many qbs in the league.

Will never happen under Chip Kelly.

Titans would be smart to trade down their #1 pick for loading up on 1st and 2 nd Round Draft choices. They need even more help elsewhere across the O and D lines particularly. Give Mett a chance...he had flashes of very good play with an NFL ready arm.

This year, he's been forced to make plays down the stretch of games because of how horribly he played at times early in them. His numbers are horrible.

I was talking to a family member who is a Titans fan about this a few days ago. He can't stand Winston for his play, as much as his off the field mistakes.

We were going back and forth on who he most reminded us of when I hit the nail on the head. Winston is an slightly better, but weaker armed Jamarcus Russell. He gets by verywell in college on his talent level, but doesn't have the self-control or mind for the game to keep himself in check. He blindly believes that he can make any throw at any time, which has lead to huge INT numbers this year against a schedule that wasn't exactly daunting from start to finish.

Just like Russell, he's going to get to the league and struggle. He won't be able to make those plays on talent alone, and will have tons of INTs his first few years. NFL secondaries feast on guys like him.

Maybe he will be different from Russell and learn from his mistakes over time and improve, but I don't buy it. He is likely going to be a massive bust. And that's besides the fact that he's a ticking time bomb off the field.

Hopefully, Sankey and Greene can help take some of the pressure off Mettenberger too.

In the end, did he win those games? Yes. Which is the only thing that matters.

Completely irrelevant piece of information.

Are you trying to say the Winston is lazy like Russell? Because they couldn't be more different.

Again, Winston is a douche off the field and would will probably draw multiple red flags during the combine/draft discussion next year. But he's the most pro ready QB in the draft at the moment. Not to mention, he has the max of two more games to put on tape.

I was at the Texans/Titans game a few weeks ago when he went down with the shoulder injury. Given that JJ Watt is always in beast mode, Zach's O Line couldn't protect him worth a shite.

The Titans do need a motivator and that is what JW does so if Zach is going to keep his job, he needs to be more vocal.

This guy doesn't win. Last year as a 5th year senior with Beckham, Hill, and Landry he had 3 loses. That team should have been undefeated with one of the most potent offenses in history.

No team is perfect. Teams need players who can overcome some of their deficiencies and get them wins. Sorry, but he's too slow and doesn't get the ball out quickly enough. He'll collect stats but not meaningful wins. History has shown us this.
