They say if you do not believe in yourself first, then no one else will. Hope they do not give up on him and draft Jameis Winston.

Zach can play in the NFL....just needs more time and at least a decent offensive line.

Zach has never struck me as someone with self-esteem issues, at least not re football.

I actually think that he is a pretty humble guy, overall. Being humble means that you are yourself rightly. That is exactly what I saw in that article. He wants to work hard, get better, and he hopes the Titans stick with him.

I have always likes Mett. I wish him well.

Ken Whisenhunt would draft James Winston.

Mett is definately more accurate and far more pro ready than Marriota. Winston is the most pro ready QB in this draft, and has potential to be great, but has huge character concerns. Being objective, I'd stick with Mett and build a stronger team around him. He is an extremely hard worker and has all the talent you want, and smarts. He played veteran like when his o line and mediocre receivers weren't getting him killed.

That team has issues besides quarterback and I don't think Winston or Mariotta will be the answer their problems right now. They need to focus on other positions in the draft and free agency and let Mett have another shot even if he's a place holder for another guy down the road. Just my opinion.

I don't think he would. Ken Whisenhunt kind of seems like an idiot.

Unfortunately, the NFL is a QB-driven league and no GM ever wants to be the guy that passed up on the franchise QB. It's much easier to select the franchise QB and blame him for being a bust.

The Arizona Cardinals wish they had a Zach Mettenberger right now.

I hear you but I think Mariotto is a system guy and Winston is a head case. Just my opinion. Maybe another guy emerges or maybe they like one of these guys. They have already busted on VY and Locker in the first round.

Mett should go to Dallas. Sit for a season or so their O Line would help him not get killed.

That's why he would draft James Winston, not Jameis Winston

Tebow, RG3 and Manziel were all "system guys" too. That didn't prevent 3 dumbass GMs from wasting 1st round picks on them. Ryan Tannehill was also a system QB. The Dolphins liked that system so much they hired his college coach as their OC who installed the system. Fortunately for the Dolphins, Tannehill has been more effective in 2014 under Bill Lazor who has installed a lot of Chip Kelly's NFL offense which carried over alot of the elements he used at Oregon...that Mariotta is already familiar with.

Winston will either be in jail or dead before any NFL camp, and IF NOT, he will go all Vince Young dumb. The Titans cannot possibly be so stupid as to take a chance on a pampered sociopath, unless they are willing to invest in a few more million to hire a baby sitter to kick the shite out of him when he tries to steal or cheat or rape.

As of right now they don't have a QB. Now for the future? We will see.

Fwiw, I don't think they draft Winston or Marriota. That defense needs serious attention.

Mett had done well here, but not great. I am a homer, but I believe he has a good future in the NFL. He has had some bad luck as far as tipped balls becoming interceptions and fumbles. The Titans were devastated with OL and receiver injuries and they weren't very good when healthy. None of this has helped Mett, but for a rookie he has looked good most of the time.
