There may have been because they used to go up pretty high (20 or more rows)under the grandstand on the baselines above the dugouts but now it seems that the only go up to row 16 so that is a pretty substantial difference!

Why does everyone say they are late? The contract completion date is April 22, 2009. They are finishing early! Stop bitching!

There were 3,197 seats in the grandstand at the old Box (this does not include the 44 purple seats, which were not under the grandstand roof). There are 3,878 grandstand seats in the new Box, plus 252 seats in suites.

There are less rows, but remember the gold seats in the old stadium skipped every other row. In the new stadium, there are over twice as many seats immediately behind home plate as there were in the old stadium. Every seat in the old grandstand filled in closer to home plate in the new stadium leaving 700-800 new grandstand seats on the ends of the new grandstand.

according to LSU the completion date was Nov 2008.. The ONLY reason they are not being charged daily overage is because they have not covered all their rain days.. But they are VERY late.

I'm sure there is a logical explanation, but whats the deal with all of the open space above the grandstands and beside the suite sections that looks like an erector set?

Also, the pics look great and the stadium is going to be nice but am I the only one that thinks it should have looked like that about 6 weeks ago? Why is it so hard to get anything done on time around LSU?

It looks to me like they need to drop a couple of windows in, pave some concrete, finish building a fence, put up a scoreboard, move in some furniture, landscape and clean up. They could knock that out in a week if they had to.

Actually if you want to know the truth ALL workers at the new Alex Box stadium are workin 7 days a week.. the work 6:30-5:00 mon.-Sat. and then 6:30-3:00 on sundays. So before you come on here blasting the people running this project you should know what you're talking about

I merely pointed out an observation that there were no workers in the pictures. You can't take a picture at my jobsite with no workers in it. Sorry I don't live in Baton Rouge now... don't get your pannies in a wad.

That's not really a lot considering the size of the project. I saw a total of eight people working? Finishing a sidewalk?

If I looked really hard - they should have more people working on sidewalks and curbs so they can get all of the asphalt done. You're supposed to let the asphalt cure so that you can stripe it once, as it cures it releases gasses that destroy paint/markings

It also seems like there should be a few guys painting in the hallways and finishing the punch work.

Also the electricians should be finishing there trim out and bugging out all of the fire alarm issues and any other problems.

It seems like that's all the people that could be working on the score board so you can't bitch about that.

It just doesn't seem like they are scrambling to finish from my POV - which is the pictures. I don't live there and I'm not working on that project.

Live tiger cages on each side, 2 live tigers per cage. Intimidation.

I'm sure there are more people working than you can see in the photos. Could they have been on a lunch break? Could the photographer be purposely not trying to get too many people in his shots? These seem like plausible reasons to me.

1) Link?

2) It's a pickem in my mind. I'd have to see all of the amenities, etc firsthand but they (SCe) have a beautiful looking park, all chairback, etc.
