The entire 3rd and 4th quarter Bama's staff was giving their entire defense something to eat. It was little packs that they could just rip off the top and down it in one swallow.

Those little energy packs are common.

We used to make little squeeze bottles of pure sugar, aspirin, and Tylenol for mid football games in high school. Start dragging later in the game, hit some gel.

Steroids are used in college football. How prevalent just depends.

I'm probably going to get flamed for this , but I suspect Danielle Hunter was on at LSU.

hold on, do people here think the players aren't on PEDs? or am i missing the sarcasm?

because if you think they aren't... i have no idea what to say to you. they are. most of every major team is, i promise you. i dont know how anyone could be so naive.

Yes it is apparently a silly idea to think the football team at a football factory that is dominating at an unprecedented level in modern times might dare take PEDs. Bc they recruit well.

Yeah I don't know if arms get that veiny and shredded without some help.

But if you suggest a single Bama player would ever use PED, you're out of your mind apparently.

saban is much more practical, i know he doesnt test for weed until the NCAA forces him too so i doubt he cares about PEDs

Hell, Saban didn't even mind that Cam Rob was arrested on a felony gun charge. Are we to believe he's too high-minded for PEDs? Saban always has favored size and strength over speed when it comes to DL and LBs but now even his DBs look like LBs.

When in doubt, use the Trump method. Blame your losses on a rugged and corrupt system.

Those players are on the juice for sure. There are too many good schools out there now for one school to dominate like this. It's one thing to have a basketball dynasty when you only have 5 players start and that doesn't even happen like this anymore. What Alabama is doing should be looked at more closely. That or we need to get on some better stuff as well. Think about the LSU baseball dynasty in the 90's. You think those guys weren't on some major stuff? Come on now it was called gorilla ball.

You're not alone. I was at the Uga/Bama game last year and was stunned by how much bigger they were than us. I would't be surprised if they have a steroid cycle going on there.

1) PED's.....everyone does it to an extent....mostly in the offseason beginning in February and ending it sometime right before the Spring game

2) Cochran is insane in terms of his conditioning regimen , he's something else

3) Saban spent many years in the pros, he understands the body types that are needed, his attention to detail, is remarkable.

4) the organization and the Process working together. Alabama is identifying these kids after their sophomore seasons and they are sending out "suggestions" to these prospects and their coaches in high school, so they show up knowing the training regimen. Alabama has virtually an unlimited budget so to speak for the football program. It's really unlike anything in college , or even the pros. For example, Tim Williams at UHigh in Baton Rouge was a very good player in high school, but nowhere near the freak he is now, two years into the "Process" and he was a totally different specimen.

5) IMG effect. Read up on this "high school" outside of Tampa

The players are drug tested asshat

Yeah, they are, but it depends when they are tested. Typically they will not be tested in the off season especially right after the season.

Who does the testing? The University or the SEC or the NCAA.

I agree with the OP. I have thought it for years about Saban. How can his players be that much bigger than everybody else's players? That makes no sense, unless you consider steroids.

There is no real protocol for drug testing in the NCAA or even the SEC

Example: Auburn will suspend for 50% of games for testing positive of banned substances on first offense

Arkansas will suspend for 10% of games on first offense

Alabama will not give any info

Private schools do not have to give the NCAA any info or have a plan

The SEC had a discussion about instituting a conference wide policy in 2013 but it was shot down by member schools.

Read into that what you will. There is no uniformity and no agreed upon policy.
