if you can get excited about a meaningless exhibition game then you're probably a les miles supporter too

I wonder if you would have the courage to say that to one of the players.
This may well be the last game for some of them so it has meaning to them.
This may well be the first action some of the younger players have so it has meaning for them.
All players work hard to play in a game, any game, so no game is meaningless to them.

I just have to assume that all of you snowflakes that call this game meaningless have never played in any significant sports.

I'm truly sorry for you because of it.

You know that the sad lot calling the game "meaningless" will be among the 1st on here pissing all over the team if we lose. The game will go from "meaningless" to a negative gang rallying cry.

For me, there is no such thing as a "meaningless" season ending bowl game, but each to our own.

Exactly. It's obvious. It's a chance to compete. We are supposed to have a stable of elite athletes correct? Competitors? Did they get snubbed from the playoffs??? No they didn't. This is where they put themselves. It's a chance to win a game against a new opponent. They should be chomping at the bit to make a different impression than what they left on the back end of the season.

I don't see how your lack of enthusiasm should affect theirs.

Selling out the ticket allotment says you are wrong about the enthusiasm for the game. This board might choose to talk about other things but i would say that there are plenty of fans that are excited about the game.

EXACTLY. How can any serious person make the statement that the LSU fans have no enthusiasm for the game when the damn ticket allotment for LSU sold out rather quickly. That statement makes no sense.

If we can win, it might excite our team enough for them to work hard in the off season and maybe we'll be able to compete with Ole Miss and Arkansas.

That is exactly right, and, competitive games vs Arky and Ole Miss next year will represent TOTAL PROGRESS for LSU football and prove that Miles is the man for the future.

Hogwash. There is a tremendous number of LSU fans in Texas along with quite a few very active alumni chapters throughout Texas.

This bowl game...roughly equivalent to getting a participation trophy. Big deal.

I'll watch the game...with no expectations at all.

Speak for yourself, sir! I can't wait for the game. Then I'll start counting down until the spring game practice. I always look forward to watching the Tigers play.

LOL

Can't speak for all TEXAS TECH fans...

But we're going. Gonna' tailgate, watch the Goin' Band march in, cheer the players, sing Fight Raiders Fight and enjoy ourselves. Even bought a new sideline polo for the festivities.

Y'all feel free to do whatever it is y'all do.
