But they don't. Care to know why? Because they don't have enough knowledge or haven't really watched many games or just ignore problems as long as we win Them not accepting whats been laid out proves this. They don't address it because they can't.
Actually, we do. We just don't do it as often as you. Last time LSU ate a shite sandwich of a season, the problems got fixed. Obviously some of us trust that they will be fixed again. You're just a miserable, negative prick who has nothing to do with LSU and constantly bashes it for kicks. Go frick yourself, troll.

And if Cam is in fact another 3 yards and a cloud of dust guy, then I would love to seek out someone more with the times there as well.

Some of these teams we played that we were supposed to demolish had coaches who made you believe "if they can do that with the lack of talent there, imagine what they can do with talent".

I will definitely throw out outliers when I see fit. Its my opinion.
And it isn't objective, therefore, so it will be dismissed as the type of rhetoric you see on ESPN's daily programming.

Les Miles has won so many games as LSU's head coach that every loss is an outlier.

They only focus on record because it's all they know. Read my post above.

Of course not. But you have to keep moving the goalposts to support your argument. "I don't count the 2007 Bama game," for example. You can't use comprehensive statistics to support your opinion. I can.

He is moving the goalposts in reference to analyzing his overall record to highlight what he perceives as a downward trend with 2011 being somewhat of an anomaly. The implication there being that Miles's overall record is still bolstered by the years he coached with Saban's recruits. So he makes an argument by extrapolating two winning percentages with/sans Saban's players. If you look at the data in this manner Miles appears to be in the elite category when coaching the talent Saban brought in and in the very good category without that talent.

I should preface that by saying doesn't mean no one is giving him credit for what he has accomplished with his own players. Just that a lot of people see ample room for improvement. More room for improvement than they feel there should be, considering the talent we bring in.

s a perfectly good message board post, but it is a bad article.

The article is spot on. To say otherwise is extremely foolish.

There is not a damn thing wrong with wondering why (given the talent) LSU has not reached farther and why QB development is horrendous over an extended period of time. He gives credit where it is due but also poses doubt where it is fully warranted.

The QB statistics and opponent down-play are bizarre.

I definitely give Les total credit for 2011. His team was nails. They just got hammered by a bigger nail on 1/9.

Although he was lucky JJ got busted, had he not, 12-0 might now have happened that year.

They only prove the author's point.

quote:

When Miles botches a decision, misses on a recruit, fails to make quality coaching hires, Team A is quick to hit the excuses, reminding everyone just how successful Miles has been. When Miles notches another top 5 recruiting class, Team B says they'll surely not meet their potential.

The bulk of this site (writers and readers) sit squarely with Team A, and while that's not a terrible place to be, it's a line of thinking that's as dangerous as any produced by Team B. There's no middle ground on an issue that's highly nuanced and much more gray than the black and white it's painted in.

And this is insanely misguided on two counts:

1) "Saban's players" was never a legitimate argument. It simply doesn't matter who recruited the players. The players who won the title in 2007 were all Miles' players.

2) 2011 was the final year of the UPWARD trend from 2008. 8-5 9-4 10-3 13-1. 2011 wasn't an anomaly; it was the final part of a trend.

65-20 2008 on. That is 76.47% Winning percentage. Not bad, but not elite.

He was 34-6 with a majority of Saban players. 85% winning percentage. That is elite.

from 2008-2013, (mett was a 2011 transfer) what QB talent did Les get on campus?

looking at the numbers, this is honestly mind blowing.

mett saved LSU in 2012 and 2013
