No one was more disappointed Saturday night with our lack of passing attack than me...especially after promises of more balance.

I gave myself the weekend to piss and moan about it and vowed to stop on Monday. (Ok I was still amped up a little).

It's Tuesday!!!! A new week! Game day against the hated Barners in 4 days. Let's move past the bitching and look forward to an improved game plan on Saturday.

I keep telling myself Miles will throw more....Miles will throw more....Miles will throw more.......when the time is right.

1-0 and headed in the right direction!!!

That's because they are struggling to run. They ran 31 times for 103 yard. They just can't run anymore. Bad comparison

Folks around here get to caught up in this ridiculous hope that Miles and LSU are just going to go out there and put on their version of THE Greatest Show on Turf or the Air Raid because of all the positive signs and feedback regarding Harris. That's just not realistic and that isn't Les Miles or LSU football.

Les Miles is here for one reason. Win ballgames. And he's damn good at.

Mississippi State was our opening game. We didn't get a warm up game against some shite school like Southern Miss. As much as we game planned the coaches had no idea, how things would actually shake out. But we have one sure bet on our team. The greatest deodorant on the planet. Fournette. He was the gameplan.

We were playing in their stadium and their fans were rocking. The matchup, while lobsided in the areas of experience and talent towards LSU, State has an elite level QB. Who, if you missed it, torched us last season with his arm and legs. And with added experience, likely even more dangerous.

So Miles played it smart. And secured victory. Yes, it came off a bit conservative in the 2nd half and we were a field goal away from losing it. But there were a lot of "almosts/maybes/if's" in that game. 2 BH touchdowns were called back. And a long pass to Dupree was negated by poor officiating. Which, by the way, there was a lot of. The spots were horrendous all night long. Often times if the spot was even within question, the line judge just gave State an extra 2 yards.

I heard that if the Dupree swing pass and the Williams 35 yard run isn't called back. We end up with 350+ rushing yards. That is scary effective. And should have other SEC opponents shaking in their boots knowing once we clean up penalties and mistakes, this offense is going to pound them all game long and now they know BHarris is competent and could beat them long.

Of course I want to see some of the athletes on the outside torch folks and see BHarris' potential. But understand, that we have one of the most, if not the most, talented player in the country in Fournette. He may go down as one of the greatest to ever put on an LSU jersey. And there isn't a defense in the country that can shut him and our offensive line down. You feed the horse, let him do what he does, and he wins us games.

I too was in full melt mode late Saturday night, but man. After reviewing the game on YouTube again and listening to some of the feedback from coaches, players, and insiders. Saturday could have been a fricking blowout if a few small first game mistakes would've went our way.

Good luck with the moving on part. Once you're labeled "nega" here, there is no redemption, no grace, nothing. Just more name-calling and negativity to anything you say here, from the clueless apologists/chattering classes along the Rant.

I totally understand how it feels. And yes,

May wanna slow your roll here a bit with this one chief. I love LF too but defenses will get better as the season progresses. I hope no one stops him...but this is a very bold prediction.
