Both Volleyball and Soccer coaches should have been gone long before. Horrible coaches, I am not a fan of Flory, she is a horrible recruiter as well.

I can never watch and LSU soccer game again as long as Lee is the coach, his teams are so damn sloppy. The philosophy is horrible, we have some solid players but clearly we are lost with his coaching. It's infuriating to watch

You can thank Jill Craft and her Title IX witch hunts.

Too much smoke around the W tennis team. Cellar to #1 recruiting classes. Yeah, it happens.

I heard about this a couple of weeks ago... NCAA been on campus for a couple of months now. Paying players for sure and allegedly Alleva knew and condoned it. If the Sells rollover on him, he's in trouble

Also, they can't look into other sports. The NCAA can only investigate the sport in question. This will not affect Men's Tennis or any other sports...

Interesting. How's your source connected?

It's beyond me why any program would get involved in this for women's tennis.

Alleva wanted his hire to be Top 5 in the nation. He fired Tony Minnis after making the NCAA tournament because that wasn't good enough. So when he hired the Sells and told them the expectations, they did what they thought they had to.

Also, I know a couple guys on the mens Tennis team. Both guys are friends with a lot of the girls on the tennis team. One of the guys told me it was "extremely sudden and shocking" to a lot of athletes who knew many of the girls tennis athletes. A lot of them had scheduled classes for this coming semester and already was preparing for next season. Now we are seeing everyone jump ship. Not one of them had ever mentioned leaving LSU, it was all very sudden with no explanations.

One of them texted Weissmann asking why she had left LSU, she said something along the lines of her not able to answer that at the moment.

You can't deny that something major with the actions of the players alone.

I heard some of these rumors back then but really just assumed they were typical rumors but this shite really does look very bad now, and I am very convinced most of this shite did go down.

Curious what will happen to Alleva and a few people in the athletic department who knew about this but never followed up or did anything.

She has relatives in Louisiana so her going to LSU was not a surprise. As far as not speaking right now, who would during an active investigation.

The funniest/saddest part about is even after all this, we still didn't get past the second round of the NCAA tournament

Other women's tennis coaches around the nation were honestly shocked at how LSU has under performed with all of the talent they've had the last few seasons

Would not surprise me to see the Sell's roll over and take down a few of the people in the athletic department, this stuff really goes beyond the Sell's now from everything that I know.

From what I am aware of, one of the coaches told an assistant in the athletic department of the violations or the shite they were doing. They were told to stop but never did. Later it was relayed to Alleva and two other members in the athletic department. There was a meeting that did not include the Sell's but never were they specifically addressed by Alleva. I don't know what occurred in that specific meeting but obviously nothing was done.

This entire investigation is the result of multiple national power house schools in Tennis getting suspicious of LSU's recent rise on the recruiting travel on a national level, we were literally snagging anyone we wanted all of a sudden. Multiple schools reported us to the NCAA. The NCAA contacted multiple girls that had been recruited by LSU and it all has been going downhill from there. LSU then tried to report violations but it was wayyyyyyyyy too late. Now the NCAA is in Baton Rouge and everyone is jumping ship and getting the hell out.

Alleva is sipping on wine in Italy not giving a shite and trying to avoid this it seems.

Will be interesting to see how this ends up but right now its not looking good

It seems so quiet around the tennis program for all of this to be going on... very interesting.

Is Jeff Brown "resigning" related to any of this, or did he just not meet expectations? He was one of the longest tenured coaches with the most wins ever at LSU for tennis, but lately the record hadn't been great.

Any connection there?

Women's tennis or not you never want the NCAA coming to sniff around with any kind of recruiting violations especially with cash an extra benefits. The people that was giving the extra benefits and cash could be link to some football players or basketball players you never know. it's not good for the NCAA to be sniffing around LSU no matter what sport it is

Get your head out of the sand.

While technically they cannot investigate other sports during the WT investigation, the NCAA gumshoes simply call a press conference and declare: "During our investigation of the women's tennis program at LSU, we've found evidence of possible violations of the football program and so we're opening another investigation into the LSU football program."

You NEVER want the NCAA on campus and snooping around your athletic program for an extended period of time, no matter the sport.

Where will the investigation lead? It will lead wherever the hell the NCAA wants it to go.

I am worried about Loss of Institutional Control

If they have the paper trail to Joe and Eddy, which I have been lead to believe by sauces they do, that is LOI brothers

Im supposed to believe that a guy who goes out of his way to make sure that every other sport follows compliance to a T had knowledge and allowed the women's tennis coach to break the rules? Why would he break trend for women's tennis?

From what I've heard, one of the biggest marks against him was he knew too much about these violations and wasn't very happy since he ran a clean program for 20 years
