This could really help influence some players decisions on leaving early or not.

This is the more interesting note from that article

quote:

College players will be allowed to participate in the combine multiple times without jeopardizing their eligibility, meaning players can theoretically declare for the draft each year and then withdraw prior to the deadline if they choose. They will also be allowed to work out for tryout per NBA franchise per year. The rules used to stipulate that players who officially declared for the draft twice would lose their collegiate eligibility. Underclassman can now declare for the draft, work out at the combine, and then use the next 10 days to make a final, informed decision based on feedback from teams.

That seems like a good idea. The players can get a clearer picture of where they stand vs. their draft class and make a more informed decision. I'm bout it.

This is a step in the right direction for improving the product of college basketball. I don't really keep up with the NBA, so I can't comment on the effect it will have there.
