I'm assuming by the fact that CBS is paying to switch from day to night kickoff, that CBS thinks that viewership will be better at night.

If that is the case, why does CBS not always do night games? It would seem that they are paying top dollar for the best game every week and would want those games in the best possible slot.

Any thoughts ??

I guess it gives the SEC more bargaining power with both ESPN and CBS if they each get something beneficial.

I guess they don't always get a 1,2 match up. Maybe CSI or what ever comes on CBS at night gets better ratings than football.

CBS gets one night game.

They blew it on Fla/Bama.

Since they have the LSU/Bama game in hand, they feel that giving up extra concessions to ESPN to move it to the PM is worth their while.

Good question. When the SEC renegotiates it's contract after aTm & Mizzou enter CBS will probably televise 2 or 3 games every saturday with one of those games in PRIIIIIIIIIMETIME!!!!!
