Of course they'll drop after LSU beats them. You go by what they were at the time of the game, like a normal person and the media.

Ok: Auburn, FSU, Ole Miss, Utah

In the composite, a combination of Billingsley, Colley, Wolfe, Ken Massey and Jeff Sagarin's rankings, six of the top eight teams call the SEC home, with No. 5 Florida State and No. 6 Oregon the exceptions. The greatest geometric mean difference between two teams in the top 35 of the CFCC comes between No. 8 Georgia and No. 9 Notre Dame. An eight-team playoff based on this week's composite would pit Mississippi State against Georgia, Alabama against LSU, Auburn against Oregon and Mississippi against Florida State in the quarterfinals

Yes! Who the frick do you think they beat? If LSU beats a #20 team and that drops them out of the top 25, does that mean LSU beat an unranked team??

Ultimately? Yes. LSU would have beaten a team that wouldn't have been ranked after all of the information of the season has been discovered.

Beating a USC team ( for example) that was ranked at #1 at the beginning of the season is not beating a #1 team when that same USC team isn't ranked at the end of the year.

2011 taught us that wins don't matter, only quality of losses

Ahhhh, I see that we need to eliminate human bias.

In that case, I compiled a compilation of 5 statistical ranking systems, processed all of the wins, losses, strength of schedules to arrive at 6 teams that are better than LSU. These teams are Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida State and Oregon.

Please choose any combination of those 4 teams to answer your original question in the OP.

So you're saying that teams don't drop because you beat them, just because it was time?

no he is saying that sometimes you beat overrated ranked teams

like South Caroline this year

they are obviously not a top 5 team, but by your standards, A&M has a top 5 win, which is just retarded

Nothing is ever better than an LSU win. That said, here's four to argue about:

1969 NY Jets vs Baltimore
1980 USA Hockey vs USSR
1983 NC State vs Houston
2004 Boston Red Sox vs NY

It is whatever that team was ranked when you beat them period.

Now, teams get sent farther down depending on the severity of the loss(es)

That has to be factored in. But, when you whip somebody, they are going to DROP pretty significantly, unless you're bama.

They could become emotionally distressed and tank the season b/c of the loss.

OR they could get their shite together and become a better team and climb.

WE DON'T KNOW HOW THE COMMITTEE WILL CHOSE or if they are looking for the teams playing the best at the end of the year.

If you say NO MARSHALL b/c of the ease of schedule.. then you have to say maybe LSU b/c of who they lost to and then beat.
