quote:

“There’s going to be a lot of talk,” Brennan said. “’Is he going to be as good as Joe? Blah, blah, blah, blah.' I’m just going to worry about me and this team. I’ll make sure we get back to here.”

quote:

“It’s going to be nice to be able to take a deep breath and take the keys,” Brennan said. “That’s what I’ve been waiting for, and it’s coming.

“I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure I’m in that position.”

quote:

“I don’t want to play next year trying to be like him,” Brennan said. “I want to take what I learned from Joe and instill that in me. At the end of the day he’s leaving. This will be a new team. I don’t want to go out and do something just because Joe did. I want to do anything I can to help lead this team to victory.”

Love his attitude. He’s got an impossible act to follow. I hope the fanbase has some patience.

Brennan has a cannon and can throw it on a rope deep anywhere on the field. I’m not worried. Dude is gonna light it up next year.

Saying all the right things so far. I’d be a lot more worried if we were handing things off to a red shirt freshman rather than a rs JR.

Every clip of him this season was authentic joy for the team's success. More specifically Joe's...

I think Coach O and Brennan will bring the stability that's needed for success next season. Even if that doesn't mean another playoff birth

His first sub 75% completion game will have people calling for him to be benched.

Honestly I'm excited to see Brennan take over PRECISELY because he's not Burrow. If we can keep up production next year then we have the makings of a perennial championship contender. What happens next year could be just as magical as this year, if for a completely different reason.

i'm very interested to see how the myles situation plays out next season. I think Myles has the all of the tools to be successful, but this seasons offensive production was a once in a lifetime output. It's very unlikely we'll match this level once again next season, but here's to hoping we can get at least 75-80% of that production.

This is very true. Another positive to that is the offense more likely being in rhythm early with him at the helm.

He has the ability to be a great quarterback for LSU but fans have got to understand and go into next season with the understanding that Myles will NOT be Burrow.

Will we play for another championship next year? Jesus Christ I sure hope so but I won't expect it. I can see us being in the hunt for a spot in the playoff though.

Right now, as it stands, my biggest hope for next year is to beat Bama for a 2nd year in a row. I think Myles and who we likely have coming back can definitely do that.

I'm really rooting for the kid. Instead of transferring he stayed and waited. He's going to be in a tough spot following a guy that will have his number retired and a statue in front of the stadium, but he'll have everything he needs to succeed.

He's saying all the right things. I hope he has learned from Joe in his preparation and study of the game. If there's something he should be trying to emulate, it's that.

Kid has lived through adversity outside of football. Knows what it means to tough. Also has strong ties to NOLA and probably feels that sense of LA pride that O has brought. He knows what it takes to be successful after sitting behind Joe. Honestly with 2 full years potentially to work in a high passing offense, he may be pushing for some LSU records in his own right.

He could have a 4000 yard season and people will think he sucks

People will want O fired after the next (inevitable) loss.

If Brennan has LSU in competition for an SEC West title as of the playing of the Iron Bowl next year, then it will be a successful year.

Dude can have the second greatest season for a QB in CFB history and Tiger fans will rip him to shreds.
