If Denbrock refuses to change, then Nuss has to be the guy

If we’re going to stick with Jaden, we can’t run this offense

And personally, I’d prefer option 1.

It’s not about which QB is better (Jaden didn’t even play bad today)

But we have explosive receivers on the outside (who yes, have to be better) and this offense with Jaden running it isn’t opening that up

It basically comes down to maximizing the receivers or the QB

And I think there’s a higher ceiling with our receiver core than there is either of our QBs

This is highly obvious to anyone watching the games.

But our coaches can’t seem to figure this out lol.

Out WRs are, by far, the most disappointing part of this team. They’ve fricking sucked this year, plain and simple.

You don’t think the run first, inaccurate QB is affecting that?!

Wrong.
Quarterback play was shite.
Same as every other week. He holds the ball too long, doesn’t see the whole field, and looks to tuck and run. TN gave him the underneath stuff, which padded his stats, and they shut down his legs. The poor kid is not good enough to start in the SEC. Today proved that JD does not give us the best chance to win.

We have Florida, Ole Miss, and Alabama coming up. That kid is gonna get injured. No way he lasts through that stretch. Nuss will play soon enough.

So I think rationally, two things can be true:

1. They DO need to be better. The drops have to cut down, and the body language and engagement has to get better (even through QB struggles)

2. The play calling isn’t not putting them in a position to do three things:

- Be explosive and get in a rhythm
- Get them the ball consistently (if Jaden is QB) and open up space
- It’s leading to frustration on their end and that’s affecting their play to an extent

So I think to say he played like shite is a stretch…

32/45 for 300 yards, a TD, and 38 rushing yards isn’t shite

Regardless of the context of the stats

Now if you watched the game (which we all did), it didn’t FEEL like that type of performance because the way he played within the current offensive structure didn’t propel the TEAM or the offense as a WHOLE

So by no means did he have a great game..

BUT

If we want to see the most effective TEAM, then we either need to:

A. Build this offense around Jaden
B. Swap in Nuss, who’s a better fit for the current play calling, live with the occasional poor decision, and focus on getting these receivers in opportunities where they can make plays

JD isn't stretching the field. Thats causing all kinds of issues for our offense. Everything is to the outside, and a few slants to Taylor. He throws too many high balls, causing the WR to jump to catch the pass. That allows the defense to make up ground. Plus he doesn't disguise handoffs or screens very well. He simply is very football savvy. AZ St. didn't do a good job of developing and the SzeC is much too fast for him. The kid has NO IDEA where pressure is coming from or where to go with the ball. He's often lost post-snap.

Very much so.

He has a few HIGH LEVEL skills that you can maximize

But it comes at the cost of the detriment to those around him

It’s not up to Denbrock, why do people keep acting like he can overrule Kelly?

They do not believe in their QB1. You can say that doesn't matter and blame them but most people can understand why they feel that way.

This concerns me so much. People tried to warn us of this.

Sounds like a QB we used to have until he was lied to, manipulated and forced out.

The QB choice is up to Kelly

But the play calling with the QB he chooses, is up to Denbrock

Both play a part here

Definitely agree that based on the body language, the receivers, while they probably like Jaden the GUY, are frustrated with Jaden the QB

Can you imagine running route after route, blocking, being exhausted and not feeling confident you’re going to get the ball and if you do, it’ll be off target most likely?

Now this still doesn’t EXCUSE the body language or the drops

But it explains where it may be stemming from

Daniels being the QB is begging the D to go man to man and stack the box. That hurts a young OL and kills any chance to get a running game going.

Kelly said as much in presser they were actually pleased with passing today and no changes coming. Kelly is doing anything he can to scrape by - he's not the answer. He has no balls

I’m almost in the opinion that BK knows, he’s playing the Les Miles “I know more than you” game right now. His response to the press question about QB play says it all.

I like this line of reasoning.

If our OC is going to continue to do dumb shite, then let's just change the player personnel.
