The drive up was great. 9+ hours (cakewalk compared to my drive to GB) and a lot of beautiful scenery. I don't travel those areas very often so I enjoyed the drive.

We stayed at the same hotel as the team, Embassy Suites in Rogers, AR. North of Fayetteville. Very nice hotel in a good area and easy drive to and from campus.

We arrived on campus around 11 AM and parked in a public lot on Dickson St, $5 for the day. Right by a Jimmy John's which is a game changer for post game meal IMO. As we turned on Dickson St, of course we put the windows down and blared Calling Baton Rouge, it was a hit. We asked an Arkansas fan where we should go, he recommended a place called JJ's. It was pretty packed but me and my buddies stood at a spot near the bar. Had a bartender named Nicole and she was damn near a 10. Especially for the state of R-Kansas.

We drank as JJ's until about 4, then headed to the stadium. The walk was kind of a bitch, a lot of hills around there and we were a few sheets to the wind. The stadium was fine but the bathrooms were the best I've been in at a sporting event. On the other hand, the WPS chant is the worst.

The temperature seemed to drop like tremendously once the 4th quarter started which made the walk back worse than the walk there. Somehow we managed to walked up hill both ways Crushed Jimmy John's then went back to the bar JJ's for a few hours to celebrate. After all I had heard about the Razorback fans, they were great. A lot of handshakes, good games, and lemme buy you a drinks.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed F'ville and will most certainly go back.

Arkansas fans arent bad at all.

The reason you hear horror stories is because we used to play them in Little Rock, which brought out true gutter trash that is in no way associated with college football

Razorback fans told us they're about to do a pretty massive amount of construction to the stadium and it should be done by the time we're back in 2 years.

I went four years ago (Jarvis Landry one-hand TD)and had a great time. We stayed in Hot Springs and made the scenic drive to Fayetteville for the game.

One of the friendly bartenders we met during the trip said that Fayetteville 'wasn't really Arkansas' and we sort of agreed without fully understanding at the time.

Our game was chilly during the middle of the day and absolutely freezing by the end of the game. It's a trip that I'd like to make again sometime.

Glad you had a good time doc.

The old saying "up hill both ways" certainly applies to campus and the surrounding areas. It kept us all in pretty good shape as students. Not too many whales around campus simply because of the walks you have to encounter to and from classes.

If you make it back in 2018, the stadium will be renovated and the north endzone enclosed and a new screen the same size as the current one also sitting atop the south end zone. Suites will be renovated, bathrooms upgraded, concourses upgraded, and new suites, club seating, loge boxes, and concrete standing room only in the empty north end zone. They're going to completely tear down the Broyles Center(ugly glass building under big screen)and completely enclose there leaving the side open so people can still view in from the hill into the stadium.

Glad you enjoyed JJ's. They usually have some okay talent working there. You should have hit up the nicest Waffle House known to man instead of Jimmy Johns after the game!

Glad you had a good time.

I need to make another trip. Only Arkansas vs. LSU game I have been to was at that dump in Little Rock. Did a family trip to the Fayetteville area to ride the Arkansas & Missouri Train excursion. That area of Arkansas is beautiful. I was very impressed. The train went right by the Campus and it looked very nice. We ran out of time to make a visit.

Razorback Stadium Renovation

This will be done in time for the 2018 season when LSU comes back to The Hill.

I can absolutely confirm this. I've been to 90% of the LSU/Arkansas games over the last 20 years. The Arkansas fans you encounter now that the game is in Fayetteville are infinity better than the ones in Little Rock. It is night and day.

Went this year as well in and RV. JJ's was defiantly the place to be after the game. Dickson St was like a very clean mini Bourbon Street and was an easy walk from the stadium. Was surprised at the talent walking around campus too. Would go back in a couple years as the people and campus was very welcoming.
