PG: Justice Hill
SG: Adam Miller
SF: Mwani Wilkinson
PF: Jalen Reed
C: KJ Williams

SF: Tyrell Ward
SG: Justice Williams
CG: Cam Hayes
SG: Trae Hannibal
PF: Kendal Coleman
SF: Derek Fountain

This team could be 11 deep, I hope McMahon will utilized the bench more than wade did as James Bishop (2019-2020) and Jalen Cook (2020-2021) should've played more

KJ is a PF so I’m hoping Jalen Reed can play center. If he can’t we will need to fill that opening with our last scholarship.

I think Tyrell ward starts over Mwani but it’s so early it’s hard to say.

I think it will be Ward starting instead of Reed. Either way we are looking to be very deep and balanced

I just don’t see Mwani Wilkinson (who has started most games in his career) coming off the bench

Also i think Mwani will take a huge leap

It kind of reminds me of Skylar mays headed into his junior year and people were clamoring for Javonte smart to start over him and while smart waters and mays started at the beginning, it was mays and waters primarily during the sec portion

I think Mwani will make a similar type leap that mays did his junior year

Does Hannibal need a waiver to play?

I'd switch out Reed and ward for the starting lineup.

Ward is probably a 3 and not a 4, but I think Mwani's defensive ability can help mitigate that some.

I would probably swap Coleman and Reed early on, freshmen get their feet wet, etc.

Coleman is a really experienced solid player. I think if a freshman starts it's Ward and if he would start it would be in place of Wilkinson, but I like having Wilkinson start too early too.

i thought about coleman honestly and that other post i made comparing the skylar mays-javonte smart sitatuion and the ward-wilksisnon situation was based on your comments about the experience factor and proving everyone wrong

T-bird, you, S, Alt26, and LSUButt are the 4 basketball guys I listen to because y'all are very knowledgeable and very unbiased

Yeah if you are high on Mwani taking a leap then I don’t fault you for having him starting at the 3. The difference I see between him and Mays is that Mays always had the ability to get to the rim but he struggled with finishing. Once he cleaned that up he was an excellent player. Mwani hasn’t showed any offensive ability other than a corner 3. Doesn’t mean he can’t develop it but that’s a huge step that seems unlikely.

his freshman year he made 2 total threes so the fact he had a 3 pointer last year was an improvement, this year I expect him to be able to put the ball on the floor and create his own shot

Coleman is a dog, which I like a lot. Kenneth Lofton Jr. plays like a better version of him even which I hope we can grab him too, he would be a starter. If you had Coleman and Lofton on the same team you're giving the opposing team a really tough time with 2 guys who are a load to play around all the time.

Coleman in that blowout game against NWST we had this past season had 16 points on 8/11 form the floor and 13 rebounds (5 offensive). He gave us issues, in a game in which we won by 40

Mwani will be a key piece defensively in a back court full of 6’0” - 6’1” guys

Highly likely a redshirt guy especially if we get another big from the portal or the 7 foot freshman Phillips.

Yea I could definitely see coleman starting and I think it's now more likely because of all the things you said

Coleman was dogged when we brought him on (of course, that was just people being upset wade was fired) but I could see him starting and I hope he does as he's from Louisiana
