Despite the line issues, Harris had several opportunities when he wasn't under pressure to hit wide open receivers or running backs just 5 to 15 yards downfield. He, more often than not, couldn't even get the ball close to them.

No QB would have had a great day behind that line, but a decent QB would have made those routine throws to move the chains.

I have a feeling that BH will throw for +200 this week and hopefully that will give him some confidence going into SEC play. The delusional optimism is alive and well!

I agree that the OL played a terrible game. My problem with Brandon Harris is that he does not make good decisions when under pressure. On the last play he could have run and got the team in better field position or he could have thrown the ball away and had another chance. I do not think you can be taught good decision making, you either do it or you don't and he does not. I can think of quite a few QB that had plenty of talent and did not succeed either because they could not make the proper decision or would not put in the work it takes to improve. I hope I am wrong but I do not think he will ever be the leader we need.

I agree. With all the terrible QB play this past weekend and the inept play calling, I still hold on to an optimistic attitude. Two TD passes from Harris and one rushing TD! Optimistic until we crash and burn!

If not, I will still be enjoying my time...

Good decision making most certainly can be taught. Primarily by repetition and practice. Lets see how much repetition and live practice we get in the game this week. If Miles does what he has always done, there will be very little. The spring game had few passes for a team trying to change it's passing game. Harris threw less than 20 passes. He should have thrown 50. During practice, make the QB, RB, WR and O-line run stadium steps after practice for every dropped pass, interception, or sack. The whole unit.

Secondly, good decision making is taught by relieving the stress, not increasing the stress on your QB. Stop projecting your fear of the forward pass and turnovers on your QBs where they start playing scared and thus panic easily. Harris is not the first LSU QB to panic. It is a regular occurrence.

Let the game remain a game to them. Let them know you don't want an interception but interceptions come with the territory of having an aggressive and successful passing game. Don't be afraid of throwing the ball because of the chance of an interception. Relax, inhale and enjoy! You earned the starting QB job at LSU. Be that dynamic QB, with no fear you were when you brought us back against MSU. Do not dwell on what bad can happen but on what good will happen.

Thirdly, call plays that give your QB confidence and a rhythm. Don't let the first pass he throws be a difficult 3rd and long. Give him a couple of bubble screens or wheel routes. Call easy passes on running downs. Give him run/pass option plays. Give him 4 WRs sets where he has more options, including the option to run if he can't find an open receiver.

Excepting his first pass was on 1st down, 2nd pass on 2nd down, you're correct.

1.) The offensive line absolutely shite the bed, there were multiple times that Wisconsin had players in the backfield that were untouched.

True. They were a disappointment in both pass and run blocking.

2.) Brandon Harris needs to play like an athlete. I thought his footwork look 10x better in the pocket than it did last year. But, at the end of the day the kid is an athlete not a pocket passer. He needs to utilize that skillset better and tuck it away and run.

False. His footwork was terrible. He threw from his back foot multiple times.

3.) It is simple to say that Harris struggles with accuracy, he missed a few guys that were open down field. I think this could be more of a confidence issue than a talent issue. Like most say, i think it struggles with the "it" factor.

His accuracy sucks. See #2 because it has a lot to do with it. If by struggling with the "it" factor you mean that he can't handle the overall pressure of the game (physical beating, clock management, field awareness, keeping a cool mind, etc.) then you are right that he completely doesn't have "it". It is clear the kid goes into panic mode as soon as any aspect of a play breaks down.

4.) Miles and company did an awful job at drawing up plays to put Harris in successful opportunities.

I'm in the minority here but there were tons of plays called that should have been easy completions that Harris simply shite the bed. I do agree that we aren't as balanced as we need to be but I don't think the play calling was the main reason for the week 1 loss.
