I am watching the Stanford - Notre Dame game and Musberger just said there will be a shakeup in the BCS standings tomorrow "who will be number 3". Then he said and Herbie what happens next week if Georgia beats LSU in the SEC championship game. I'm getting tired of these idiots that keep pulling for LSU to lose.

It won't end until the final gun in the Dome on January 9th.

They just have more to talk about if there is uncertainty. If LSU wins they will be talking about how good we are to build up to the NC game.

Every week it's "what will happen of LSU loses." respect is never given without having to mention Bama in the same breathe.

I'm watching the same game; heard the same question, which was a perfectly legitimate "what if" question. How was that question "pulling for LSU to lose". The guy asked a perfectly legitimate question. He isn't the LSU Sports Information Director or PR man....I'm sure lot's of people of like college football simply ask "what would happen if"---if doesn't always mean they are "Tiger Haters"---give it a break!

I would hardly call that pulling for LSU to lose, he was just making talk. Can you stand up in a booth for 3+ hours and continually find interesting things to say? And sorry, but talking about how awesome LSU is doesn't interest anyone but LSU fans.

I, like everyone else, hate when these guys seem to say that Bama is/was the better team than LSU. However, I think there is a difference when a commentator says "XYZ will happen if GA/AK wins." They are not actually saying that they think this will happen, but they have to address the possibility. Also, everyone knows what happens if LSU wins, we go to the 'ship. If this were a case where LSU was 3 and there were two other teams that might go (think UF in '06) then we'd be hearing the "if LSU wins" conversation. It is not worthy to report because everyone already knows it.

They are not saying they want LSU to lose. They are saying "if they lose". It make for good TV drama. Stop being so damn sensitive.

I've been listening to Musberger for close to 40 years. He hasn't logged 3 hours of interesting things to say in that time period much less one football game.
