Not only that, but CKM said the article basically said UCLA vs LSU was “good vs evil” then went on to say something like, “Evil? How dare you call these kids evil.” She said the LA times article was sexist (not just for the “dirty debutantes” label applied to the LSU ladies but also for how they infantilized the UCLA women as “milk and cookies”) and challenged the women reporters and women in the sport to call out people disrespecting the student athletes in such a sexist way. Honestly, it was a mic drop moment.

If I was one of the players dads, I’d consider talking to my daughter about suing the LA Times for essentially calling them porn stars. Defamation with the media has to stop, and this is the only way to stop it.

This was the best part of the whole presser. Mulkey playing 4D chess and putting it on the women reporters to stand up against the sexism of calling young women “dirty debutantes.” The journalists want to pile on Mulkey for being so-called conservative so she put it back on them.
The women journalists can’t have it both ways. Can’t defend women only when they fit your agenda.
