Just said.

A one loss team from the sec would not make it, that being lsu, because of their history.

What history would that be, first team to win two bcs trophies. I hope the guy goes to hell now.

He "thinks TCU would beat LSU" so that's all the justification he needs. Silly things like SCHEDULE do not mean much.

He's impressed with TCU's win over Baylor, Oregon St and Utah. Enough said.

I really like how he said that he "Puts TCU at #1 not because of what they did to Utah but because of their body of work"

Clearly the man is a moron

history huh...so far...

wins over BSC ranked #22 Florida in Florida, #19 Mississippi State, #12 Alabama, also including OOC wins over 6-3 North Carolina and 5-3 West Virginia with games still against Ole Miss and BSC #15 ranked Arkansas...

I'm sure Mr. Smith still has that Tennessee game on his mind that to him would nullify everything else above even though TCU and Boise States resumes couldn't compare...

when he said this i was confused as well.

history of season, well he does have something to go on..

Smith did sound like an idiot tonight though... and he was an island trying to justify his bias, but only had no loss teams playing a cup cake schedule to back him up.

LSU doesn't even have to be in the conversation and I still think the guy is a fricking dick. That smirk and pompous way of talking like he's a college expert...hiding the deep down pain that the average modern NFL fan cannot remember his days as a Viking.

He is part of the mistake that ESPN continues to make and that is hiring NFL guys to do college analysis. Notice the guys who know the college game best are the same ones who didn't really do much in the NFL and the ones like Smith, Herm Winningham, etc. spout off about a game that they obviously have paid no attention to prior to being hired. I don't care much about what Smith says about LSU; I just wish he'd shut the frick up and go away period. He's also been inappropriate with females on air - speaking of much more uncomfortable situations than what Ron Franklin or Harold Reynolds did (Harold didn't say a damn thing on air). frick Robert Smith.

He also said Bama would not be motivated to beat Auburn. He clearly doesn't understand REAL football.
