My wife, Seven year old daughter and I are moving to BR. Any advice on neighborhoods with good schools. I have heard Zachary and Prairiville are nice area's. Thanks for the help.

For public schools, live in west BR, ascension Parrish, or denheim springs. If your paying for private school I would reccommend mid city

Just depends on where you working to where I would move.

Downtown or plants in WBR? Zachary or Central
Plants in Geismar? Prairieville or Gonzales

If you want to live in BR then somewhere close to LSU or off Highland rd.

PS: This thread will probably be moved to the OT!!

Don't do this unless you just love sitting in traffic.

Great property values anywhere off of Plank Rd.

I highly recommend starting there.

Thanks to Judge Parker and other forced busing supporters, you can skip EBR Parish unless you want to pay for private school. Look at Ascension and Livingston Parish.

Like most liberal and/or Democrat policy...this one failed miserably.

My FIL's dad was one of the key people getting the Zachary school system up & running...as people have mentioned, it's the best in the state.

Metropolitan Baton Rouge has a tragic and alarming poverty problem.
We have replaced New Orleans as the city with the highest concentration of poor people in Louisiana,
readers of this publication - tend to live in faux French Country homes, many along Highland Road and almost all well south of Florida Boulevard.

high-poverty neighborhoods squeezed between Florida Boulevard and the cities of Baker and Zachary.
