I guarantee you that most people would put Hodson, Wickersham, Russell, and Flynn ahead of Davey. Then for the #5 slot, you'd have a mix of Matt Mauck, Herb Tyler, Josh Booty, and Davey. It would be interesting to see how that actually came out. I think Davey is head-and-shoulders better than any of those other three. The only post-1980 LSU quarterback that I'd clearly take over Davey is Tommy Hodson.

Comes off the bench, scores two TDs, to win the '01 SEC Championship
Goes 18-2 as starter
Sets the LSU record for TDs in a season (28)
Led the Tigers to the National Title

Matt Mauck

Chad Loup. If he had a better supporting cast he could have been great.

GROW up little boy.... I am right on my opinion about JJ as far as this thread goes...

No you're not idiot. Lots of posters on here say he sucked his entire career

Davey
what? He is considered one of the top 3 qbs in lsu history.

Flynn

Flynn underrated? Lol I've heard it all now. Jordan Jefferson has 2 seasons with a higher qb rating than Flynn did in 07. FACTS.

As far as me being related to JJ , only on the rant is STATING FACTS deemed as defending a player. I'm sorry my FACTS outweigh your dumbass opinions bitch.

Paul Lyons, who alternated with Bert Jones.

Somewhere in there should also be Billy Broussard.

I really wish Mauck hadn't gotten hurt in 2002 and had stayed for his senior year. He would probably own every passing record at lsu.

Keep calling people names.. It really boasts that you are the biggest dipshit and immature poster on this site... JJ was NOT underated, He might be the most OVERATED QB n LSU history based on what he did to Ga Tech in the Peach Bowl... A lot of posters thought he was the next great QB....... But alas he ended up disappointing most of the fanbase...
I am done talking with you about your LOVE for the guy... Its worn out and he was NOT that good as an SEC QB...........

Really? You need help. Flynn lost 2 games in 2007 and didn't even win the seccg.

Holy shite. Who overrated JJ? God you're a fricking moron. What's really sad is you're arrogantly moronic. You actually think you make sense and you're one of the dumbest people on this entire site.

It's amazing how stating FACTS about JJ'S career is deemed,"love for JJ". That's how low he is rated on this board but yet he is overrated. Stating JJ'S career rankings at a top 15 alltime program doesn't mean I defend or have love for him. IT'S CALLED REALITY, you simple jack. It's no my opinion that JJ is one of the most productive qbs in lsu history,it's a fact. DEAL WITH IT BOY

Jamarcus Russell

Off the bench to take the lead vs Oregon st.
Come back wins vs ASU and Bama in 2005.
Stud drive ar Tennessee in 2006 to get the win and Lord knows what else he accomplished. Wickersham was flat out terrible and 75 % of the booger eaters in here never heard of him, yet give him a ton of credit. He was awful.
