Is that with 36 seconds left, the ball at the 2, two plays left, and the game on the line, LSU sends Jefferson in to run the option?!?!?! Is that really the best call we have?

that wasn't really a bad call (although I wouldn't have made it), not having him armed with a second play though, was horrendous

how about getting a delay of game penalty for not getting the play in on time, then having to call a timeout.

good time for JJ to pad the stats so he can contend for the Heisman.

no the worst call was lsu taking a delay of game and then CALLING A TIMEOUT. Could have used that one!!!

Hell, they did that once following a timeout.Failed to get the offense on the field and had to burn a TO.

Miles wanted Jefferson to be a hero. Sheppard would have been the best choice to execute the option

I disagree.

Your best "runner" is Ridley. You're best "passer" is Lee.

Why in the frick at the most critical time in the game do you go with what you do 2nd best? It was a horrible call.

I don't care if it brought the option back into play, thats not what LSU does best. When the game is on the line, you do what you do best, you don't try and out-think you're opponent, unless that is all you have (ala Boise State vs OU in Fiesta).

I'm pretty positive that had to do with Miles thinking there was a TV timeout after the kick and keeping the offense huddled on the sideline too long.

I didn't have that much of a problem with that playcall, but it was a terrible pass, but I get you're point.

the chilling fact is that LSU hasn't scored very many TD's at all and we are not comfortable down there. we should have a few goalline plays for just that situaltion and we probably do. doesn't sound hard to me if we have 5 passing plays and 5 running plays to call 2 or even 3 plays. our offense coachs struggle in getting plays in promptly (it was even worse last yr). i think crowton has too complicated of a thought process. it's not a chess game, it's football. with a few seconds on the clock, i'm sorry, i don't want JJ in the game because he has no clock awareness.

first of all this "blunder" hasnt been overlooked in any way, because it was fricking terrible. jordan CAN NOT frickING RUN THE BALL. hes proven it a hundred times by now. just rewatch this play. he rolls right, a huge hole with nothing but daylight opens in front of him but he keeps heading right and crashes into a pile and then falls down. he fricking blows.

Jefferson is at the top of his game..he cannot bet any better..loooks like a deer in headlights.
Jefferson is a practice QB..looks great in practice, cannot mentally function in the game.
bench jefferson, let Lee go all the way.

Actually the most overlooked blunder was the last play of the game, apparently called by Miles. With 1 free play and the game on the line, he called a toss sweep that almost gor stopped in the backfield.

Terrible call in that situation. Thank goodness Riley manned up and refused to be denied.

before yesterday he had a total of 203 carries for 394 yards.

how many times in a row does a play have to fail before crowton stops calling it?
