Today's game was arguably the most disappointing loss of the season in my opinion. Here are a few takes from my end.

1)Why isn't Johnny Jones subbing both Odo and Bridgewater in place of Malone. Malone has shown me nothing positive. Can't rebound, can't block shots, can't run the floor, and can't score. He's set a couple high screens but anyone can do that.

2)I really liked the Jones hire. He's a great fit, a great recruiter, and his LSU ties are huge. However, he has to be the worse X's and O's coach that I've seen on the LSU sideline.

3) Without Jordan Mickey today, LSU loses by 30 plus points. Huge disappointment. Martin isn't ready for the NBA. He was a no show today, I know the ankle is an issue, but come on man.

Do you think Trent was a good X's and O's guy?

Jones is the worst I've seen. I watched many of games under both previous coaches. Trent was by no means "good at it", but you get where I'm coming from.

No, I don't. Trent was and is an awful coach. You think he was good because at Stanford he had 2 NBA bigs and Nick Fazekas at Nevada

Yes. Typo. Sorry. I'm on an iPhone in downtown starkville sulking

If you don't think today was a bad day from the coaching chair, then you probably didn't watch the same game as I did.

We have no motion on offense, no give and go, 3 guards standing outside waiting to shoot the 3, while the only guy in position for an offensive rebound is Jordan Mickey....

The Australian is just taking up space. Id rather see Jones, sit the Aussi and start Bridgewater. Bridgewater has a big time basketball IQ. Forget that he can't match up down low. He brings so much more to the table. Obviously this is just my opinion.

Trent was a terrible recruiter. It was his way or the highway. He wouldn't listen to Temple and had no ties to LSU. He lost out on a ton of Louisiana talent. That's why he moved west before he got fired. From an X's and O's standpoint he and Jones come from the same pedigree it seems. I hope I'm wrong.

We really need to ask ourselves if JJ is fools gold. The recruiting, thoughtful demeanor during interviews, and work ethic all seem to be shiny and bright.

The single most important characteristic in college basketball is game coaching. With next year's class, we will see if JJ is really fool's gold.
