With the new offense it certainly appears Canada likes to run receivers alot. Will he recruit Josh Reed type receivers for this Offense? Do you think our receivers are going to go down to injury quicker? Chark running the end around?

Recently, Chark and Dural have both regularly run the end around. Neither one has seen injuries related to that.

Injuries occur in FB....no one should worry about them till it happens.

Not really, but i think that the running back position will be more of a shiftier, all purpose back than the power back that we have gotten use to.

Those that have never played a down of organized football don't realize this. They think injuries aren't going to happen.

What's that annoying expression that all the Pump Lumps use in baseball to defend loses?

That's Football.

I'm old so I don't know what a pump lump is. What a will say is go watch the Astros game last night and try to understand what the term really means when baseball people say that. You can just tune into the bottom of 9th inning if you want to find excuses.
The positioning of hit balls baseball is much more random despite all the player shifts, etc. Managers play the odds, but sometimes it takes great plays by one person to chang a game. Setting your players to potentially get hit or exposing certain sized players to get hit is a legitimate concern. You don't want a 180 lb receiver getting clocked by a 240 lb LB running a 4.5. Hell NFL offenses that expose smaller players over the middle do so in a very controlled manner. The OP has a legitimate question and concern.
How many times you've seen "big hits" and said "man that QB set up his receiver to get "laid out" by throwing high!

I played a ton of ball at various levels. Your point is obvious. My point, however, is you take a guy with the physical build and makeup of a receiver and begin using him regularly as a ball runner he most likely will tend to get injured quicker with the pounding.

The best play to run to avoid injuries is the kneel down play. Maybe you would prefer this?
