Everybody is loving on Wade for now but over/under how many games/seasons until they turn on him?

Really don't think this will be an issue in the near term. Most people realize how awful the state of the program was when he came in.

Wade is the exact sort of hire that requires time, unlike Orgeron. They have totally opposite backgrounds, both personally and in terms of quality of program inherited

The ones who are expecting to make the tournament this year, so basically, just the crazies.

The fans will eventually turn on him because....that's what fans do (not just LSU fans). However, he's taking over a program that was, at best, disorganized and, at worst, in complete shambles. If any fans turn on him this year it's because they have unrealistic expectations to begin with. The expectations of an NCAAT appearance are ridiculous.

Wade is essentially taking over a basketball program that was in the same shape the football program will be for whomever takes over for Ed Ogeron.

Your last paragraph is depressing because it's so true.

You people don't get it, this was supposed to be a streamless transition.

The substance, detail, and efficiency in the way Wade speaks instills confidence. It suggests he knows exactly what he is doing. It is more reminiscent of Saban than Orgeron or Miles.

Will Wade was given a dumpster fire so he's given s pass to right the ship. Orgeron was handed the keys to a jaguar and crashed it in less than 6 games

"You're the greatest." "We love you."

Just don't have a bad loss when you're a 20 point favorite. If so, "we hate you".

Basketball is actually rebuilding unlike football, which is just poorly led and governed.

You HATE to make that comparison. Especially for a guy who hasn't coached a single game at LSU. However, I thought the same thing the first time I heard him speak. He even dropped a few "ahigts" in there. But it is abundantly clear that Wade has a vision, knows what needs to be done to make that vision become a reality and is unwavering in his demands of his players/program. Just go listen to some of his press conferences at VCU. His was pissed after a WIN vs. St. Joes. In another he went off on players not wearing VCU gear on the bus. His comment was those things may sound like silly insignificant details, but there are no details too small.

Ogeron just spouts off goofy cliches and platitudes over and over again with no real substance. If I have to hear "one team, one hortbeat" one more time I might punch someone. Is it really any coincidence that another SEC head coach with goofy meaningless platitudes finds himself on the hotseat as well (Butch Jones).

In the end though, Joe Alleva and the administration is the problem. If LSU doesn't make a change they are going to lose Wade quickly. It's truly unbelievable how an AD that has proven his ineptness over and over again somehow is allowed to continue to make important decisions.

Alleva fell for O's wanna be Pete Carroll USC shenanigans. I knew we were doomed after the Mizzou game when it came out that O had the team yell "no mas!" I mean shouldn't a good ol coonass make them shout that in French?
