LSU nor Wisky are highly ranked nor presumed favorites to win their conferences.

I drove to Dallas from FL for the game, and on 49 then the interstate to Dallas, it seemed like all of Louisiana was evacuating the state for the game.
Lots of hype. And, LSU was not the favorite to win that game.
Honey badger had a fantastic game, and set the stage for the season.

Mingo was a beast. That entire defense was awesome to watch.

Wisely will not be that good this season

For what it's worth, many Wisconsin fans expect this season's squad to be more talented than last season's team. The unfortunate part is that, due to Wisconsin's murderous schedule (LSU, @MSU, @Mich, OSU, @Iowa, Nebraska), they may actually come out worse in the W/L column than they did in 2015.

ESPN and all the ESPN offshoots gave reasons about every four minutes that Oregon would beat LSU. That great Pac 12 speed, experience, blah blah blah. It was extremely hyped and everyone outside of the SEC was expecting LSU to get a spanking.

We demoralized them.

LSU was hyped some against Wisky two years ago. Their O and D lines were pretty damned good. Their D line was giving us hell until that one kid got hurt. Playing their safety at QB, instead of Stave, cost them in the passing game.

They are not suckers by any means. Our Nov melt against decent teams will provide the angle for Wisky's hype.

We still beat them.

Oregon and not even close. Not to take anything away from Wisconsin but that was during the "Oregon is going to the NC." Every year period. Wisconsin doesn't have that sort of hype coming in so its not as exciting. Very exciting game but beating Oregon in game one was NC implications right out the gate.

I was at the Oregon game in 2011 and that was the most fun I've ever had at a regular season game.

I remember seeing "Welcome LSU fans" billboards in Temple and Waco and then when we got to AT&T Stadium and saw all the LSU fans tailgating, I was simply blown away by the experience.

Hard to imagine an experience better than the Oregon game in Arlington, but I'll stay open minded.

His strip of the Oregon punt returner and recovery for a TD is the first thing that comes to mind when I think about that game.

Oregon by a mile.

I still have the ticket from that game. That was an insanely good time.
