Seems like there was more excitement and anticipation by fans and students for the Ole Miss game. Or is just my wrong impression?

Bye week blues - things will ramp up by Wednesday.

This will be the biggest game in Tiger Stadium since 2012 Bama - probably the biggest ever.

Disagree.

I'm a grad student (lsuhsc). For Ole Miss, there was a stack of extra tix left over from the student lotto. For Bama, there were like 200 more requests vs. tickets available.

shite is going to get wild this weekend, just give it a few days to pick up steam.

Ehhhhh this game is huge. With what Bama has accomplished at the expense of LSU both on the field and in recruiting the past almost 3 years is pretty significant. This team isn't in the national title hunt but that doesn't nulify this game from anything. This will be the largest crowd in Tiger Stadium history and could very well end up being the loudest. Can't fricking wait.

For a lot of the younger fan base this was the first year LSU had really struggled and played numerous home games they weren't supposed to win.

I think Gameday coming to Baton Rouge had a lot to do with it, but I am very excited about this game. Only 4 more unproductive days at work to go!

I definitely agree with this.. but we have had several bigger games with more at stake in the last few years.

The following were without question bigger games:
Bama 2012
Arkansas 2011
Bama 2010
Florida 2009
Florida 2007
Auburn 2007

The game this coming weekend will be on par with:
Ole Miss last week
USC 2012
Bama 2008

Again... strictly speaking about the magnitude of the game and how important it is.. The atmosphere could potentially be the best ever though.

That's all I was/am trying to say. Obviously there isn't as much at stake compared to past games but I'm saying that won't matter as far the crowd is concerned. It will have the feeling of a #1 vs #2 matchup with national title implications. I just got my voice and sobriety back from Ole Miss just in time too.
