"Hey how'd you get into ULL?"
"I opened the door."
"I opened the door."

It would seem that you would have to recruit top talent before you play for a Natl Champ. If you think LTU has any chance of playing in a Natl Champ in football you are delusional. Go check out recruiting results for schools and you will see how well Tech has progressed. My question is this Would Tech win a Natl Champ in a lower football subdivision?

I can't stand the fact that they think they are now the University of Louisiana

I can't believe this thread is 8 pages long...just feeding more ULL delusions that they actually mean something to us.

Choosing the adjective "butt-hurt" is very apropos as ULL recently added 'LGBT' as a field you can minor in.

Havent seen your schedule but if LTU goes 12-0 it will confirm that your conf isnt very good anymore. If you disagree, I guess you will be more disillusioned when you learn that LTU will likely not play in a meaningfull bowl despite their record. But I guess any school can claim that they have a chance to go undefeated at this point in the year. Good luck though! Unless LTU is playing LSU or ULM, I pull for them. They do seem to do more with less money and talent.

The waC does blow. A 12-0 tech won't be left out the BCS. Unfortunately we'll most likely slip up somewhere but at 11-1 someone would make a change. Tech won't be playing in the potato bowl

They aren't. Despite their efforts to become known as the "University of Louisiana," they have no more claim to that name than I do.

Any school within the University of La. system can change their name to the University of Louisiana and the town they are located in. For example, Southeastern could become the University of Louisiana in Hammond, McNeese could become the University of Louisiana in Lake Charles.

Oo-La-La fans ripped off this line from Michigan St fans. I 1st heard this line in the late 90s when I moved to East Lansing. Spartan fans refer to fans of Michigan as "Walverines", meaning their loyalty started when they bought their shirt @ Wal-Mart.

Right. But ULL has gone to great lengths to drop or greatly minimize the "Lafayette" from their name. They want to be "UL" but have no more right to that title than any of the schools you listed.

If you see someone wearing an LSU shirt...
well hell you could be anywhere in the world. Like the last day of my trip to Taipei when I saw two separate Chinese gentlemen wearing LSU apparel. I was sporting an LSU visor and both took the time to come over and talk to me. The first was a businessman at our hotel who owns a manufacturing company traveled back and forth to Cali every three weeks. LSU grad, prolly early 80's. Second was a business man at the airport who was going back to the states after a family visit. LSU grad prolly early nineties. Both broke the ice with, So hows the football team looking this year? (except in chinese accents)
If you see someone wearing a UL shirt....
you are probably looking at a thread on the rant making fun of UL fans. Seriously, when was the last time anyone saw a UL shirt?

This. I remember when Facebook required you to say what school you went to, and it put that next to your name. ULL people were so proud that it would just say "Louisiana" like how it would say "Florida" for UF people and whatnot.

if you see someone wearing a ull shirt, more than likely they will be changing it out for a tapout shirt and a bucket of hair gel to go fist bump at outlaws later that night.
