LSU has already defeated the top 2 passing offenses in the SEC. We held both of those offenses well under their Average Passing Yardage. We have two All-American DB's with ADAMS & T-WHITE. We also one of the best pass rushers in the Country with Arden Key. I really don't see Saban trying to beat us through the air. I don't think he wants his Freshmen QB having to make big time throws against our defense. The matchups favor us. Jalen Hurns is no AJ McCarron when it comes to passing the rock.

Cam Robinson may have his hands full with Key on passing downs but I don't think Key can handle an NFL tackle who outweighs him by probably 80LBS. Myles Garrett wasn't much of a factor vs Alabama this past week.

If you look at our defense up and down there is one glaring weakness and thats NT. Greg Gilmore. Up until now LSU has had one of the best rushing defenses in the nation. BUT.....who have we really faced? Any run heavy offenses? Really the only one was Wisconsin and they ran for 134 yards on us. Alabama is better than Wisconsin and they ran all over us last season. Bama has 3 capable running backs and a mobile QB. We are weak up the middle! Beckwith is a Great MLB but Gilmore just hasn't showed anything this season that makes me think we can stop ALABAMAs running game. Gilmore is average at best. HE NEEDS HELP.

I think it would be wise to run more of a 4-3 look. This is BIG BOY SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL. It's going to be won in the trenches. We need to slide Godchaux down next to Gilmore. We need to continually rotate Big bodies up the middle. That includes Valentine. I truly believe his girth could come in handy this game. Flank Beckwith with Duke and White. White has showed some flash/flare the last couple games. He's another huge body up the middle. He's fast enough to cover ground on the outside. He can contain Hurns.

If LSU goes into this game and thinks our base 3-4 is going to stop Alabamas run game its going to be a long night. We will get gashed right up the middle. This will NOT be Gilmore's game.

We basically run 4-3. The difference being if Key has his hand in the dirt or not.

We really don't run a 34 anymore. It's mostly been a 43 type look with a nickel back almost always on the field.

I'd really like to see Ed at the nose, Davon and Rashard at tackle, Key and Neal at end/backer, and D White and Beckwith at middle. Yes, I know it's a 5-2.

Just wondering, did coach O secretly tell you that he would replace Aranda with you should he be fortunate enough to get the head coaching job?

You sound like you want to be RaginRed's defensive coordinator when he replaces Aranda.

Nah they are good, they just arent the normal Bama standard. They will run the ball more effectively then any team we have play this year.

Yeah they don't have that top 3 RB in CFB like they have had for almost a decade, they still have multiple 5 stars that any other team we've played this year would love to have

Next year with Najee Harris they will have a freak show again

I trust Aranda. I just can't envision Bama scoring more than 24 points in this game, and I'm being generous with that number since I was off by four points predicting Ole Miss' point total.

I'm pretty firm on 31-21 LSU.

I don't see it. I think, if we win it'll have to be a low scoring game. I don't see us putting up much against their D.

I could see us scoring on short fields with good Defense and ST play.

The beauty of the 3-4 is the multiple looks it generates. Walking the outside backers up and you have a 5 man front(5-2). Stem down and you have a bear front(all line men covered) you can rush 3 and drop 8 in coverage. Drop the ends in coverage, blitz the lber's. I'm of the belief that you will see a lot of 5 man and bear fronts with man or cover 1

What an asinine statement. That Harris kid has a rare burst.

Garbage...? Good lord

That defense is overrated. Good, but not even close to godly status as the media is making them out to be. I'd take our defense over their's any day.
