Pretty amazing. Knew it was a matter of time, especially after last weekend's jumps.

The Ben Simmons of LSU track and field.

He never cared about LSU and said LSU didn't do anything for him and was a complete waste of his time.

Mondo is a fricking god. That kid was put on this earth to pole vault the same way Michael Phelps was put on this earth to swim. Just absolutely incredible.

Everyone talking shite bc he went pro or bc he’s competing for Sweden can frick off. The fact of the matter is that 1) going pro was SUCH an obvious choice and 99% of the people on here would’ve done the same, and 2) he probably had to make a decision about what country to compete for for the 2020 Olympic cycle when he was like a sophomore or junior in HS—when he was really good but far from a lock to make the US team—so the obvious choice (again) was the country where he knew he could make it. Sure he turned out good enough to have been able to make the US squad, but the Olympics are an absolute once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I would’ve done the same thing to lock up my spot.

Anyone who actually loves LSU should be elated for this kid. Geaux Tigers.

I would have broken the old record, too, if only I could pole vault 13 feet higher.
