This. He’s a celebrity over there. Makes tons of money.

Over here he’d just be the guy that is in the Olympics every 4 years

Paul Mainieri may have been right when he asked Antoine, who just broke the LSU all-time most hits in a career record, how did it feel to be only the fourth best athlete in his family?

Mondo does live in BR during the off-season. He comes across as very nice and extremely modest for being so accomplished. Being an Olympic gold medalist and voted the top male athlete in the world is pretty amazing for the former Tiger.

He’d also have to “qualify” for the Olympics here at the Trials. Bad weekend, sorry Charley. The US doesn’t get it when it comes to this.

Wrong, he represents Sweden because the US qualifying procedures for the Olympics is not the best. Sweden selects their Olympians on the totality of their performance over several years, rather than an all-or-nothing Olympic trial.

He would still live in Europe and be a superstar in Sweden and makes lots of money, regardless of whether he repped the US or Sweden.

Mondo is smart. Dude is sandbagging every performance so he can keep breaking his own record. GOAT

It’s obvious that he can make more money in Europe. He couldn’t compete in Europe as an American?

I appreciate his efforts, but I only watch female pole vaulting, especially the Cal team.
