Many reasons:

Talent: Especially the OL, RB, WR, DL, & DB
4th Quarter Conditioning: pulled away from most teams in 2nd half
OL Commitment - I remember Miles coaching the OL specifically. Especially after JJ's arrest. IMO, Miles feared another Lee pick-six fiasco, and needed to rely solely on the OL. After our running success, passing lanes were wide open.
DL: Talent & Depth
DB: Talent & Depth
QB: Execution of offense in red zone, 3rd down, couple big plays a game, few turnovers
RB: Depth, Talent, Few Turnovers,
Deffense: Execution in red zone, 3rd down, take-a-ways, limit big plays

No idea.

Just remember feeling a sense of urgency in/around BR before playing such a capable opponent.

Maybe nothing has changed?

It's offseason. I was merely hoping 'rant' guys would chime in with positive (or negative) reports from summer workouts &/or 7on7 drills...

All I'm hearing is...
"No, it was because our superior athletes",
"No, it was the coaching...", or
"...it was the DL depth."

Just trying to change up some talking point fellas.

Moffitt needs to start a youtube channel.

Video the weight room. Let fans see the hard work taking place.

Hence, the importance of winning game-1 against Oregon. You get a "by-in" easier when you WIN and players believe in your system.

How did that by in go last year when we won game 1 against Wisconsin?

Apples & Oranges IMO. We got exposed by them, and were very lucky to win the game. We didn't dominate on Offense, Defense & S.T. like we did against UO. A blind guy saw the holes in our DL. Consequently, it wasn't the confidence booster.

Or maybe it was a defense loaded with NFL talent.

Uh maybe because that 2011 team was littered with NFL stars. The 2014 team, not so much.

Moffitt has proven to be an elite strength coach. I think he knows exactly what he is doing

Uh, I'm not comparing the 2011 "Off-season" to 2014, but 2015. Our interior DL is much better and trusts in each other. Unlike the start of 2014. Time will tell how many NFL stars emerge from this group.
