Drink Bacardi 151 out of a Fouke, Ar shot glass when they win.

What age group we talkin about?
Students congregate at the junction for tailgating. It's an area full of tents on the south end of stadium. Can't miss it.
The older crowd is spread out in a triangular fashion from Barnes and noble to student union on south end to baseball stadium on north end
Go downtown after the game; old Venice has a laid back bar. There's also a theatre style bar similar to the Varsity

Make sure your drinks are in a cup. Can't walk around with a beer bottle or can.

Me and 4-5 of my friends are also mid-late 20's and going for the first time too. Where should we park to get to these places? Also should we try to set up our own tailgate or just walk around and find one? I guess just curious what the atmosphere is like and where the LSU fans are

Well, looks like LSU will have a good crew in Starkville. Me and 4 of my buddies are taking an RV and will be parked just a few blocks from campus/downtown. Late 20's as well. We're getting in thursday and will we be partying until we burn that frickin town down after we beat that arse Saturday.
Luckily one of the guys we're going with has a buddy that lives there and went to MSU. But I have no idea where are good bars/places to go to. Seems like a pretty weak town(however, I have never been there and hope that I'm wrong).

I think me and the wife will go have drinks at Mugshots on Friday night. With a late kickoff, we figured that would be the night to go have a good time and some drinks. Bulldog Bash sounds fun in theory, but it sounds like trouble with a bunch of young drunk college kids and us having LSU gear on.
Hope to see some of you there... We can do shots!ha

We got the trip together late, and apparently Starkville has like two hotels so we are staying in Philadelphia Friday night. Gonna hit the casino Friday night then drive in for the game Saturday morning. Bulldog bash doesn't sound very interesting to me anyway

We will be staying in Columbus so I'm sure we will be at the local Buffalo Wild Wings having some drinks Friday night but Saturday we might try to meet up with some of y'all!

Yes, they do...I think they only have like 4. I have family that live there, so we lucked out!

I've done the casino route too. Fun with a group that likes to play. Don't plan on chasing tail there; unless the obese, perm, with players card attached to slot machine on a leash type is your thing.
I am in the minority apparently, but I've been 1/2 dozen times or so and it's my opinion that their bar scene is underrated. I've always been people that go/went there though. Don't see the WT types en masse. Good ole boys and gals from the delta and other parts unknown

My parents went for the G Tech game and tailgated down by the tennis courts where there is a lot for the visiting RVs. There is a shuttle to the stadium. Said it's like a mile from the stadium but they said the people were really nice and the tailgating was fun.

Three of us are driving up from Jackson on Saturday morning. Looking forward to it except for the f'ing cowbells.

If you are cool, I'll let you party with me

not a whole lot to do in Starkville...mugshots and the grill are good places to hang during the day...
they have a pretty good bit of tailgating, but like any other away game, it probably isn't worth your effort to try to set up much yourself...
I go to a game or two every year and always find it to be an enjoyable place...however, the atmosphere is a lot more family oriented, so don't go overboard with drinking or banter....
after the game head to the cotton district...pretty cool area with bars down both sides of the street...
ETA: they have a really strange regulation surrounding tailgate spots...no one is allowed to set up until a certain time...at that time, a horn sounds and frickers come running from all around the perimeter of campus to claim the spots where they typically tailgate...I have seen some interesting skirmishes during that time...

A buddy and I are making the trip as well. We are staying at the Wingate in Columbus and should be getting in town Friday afternoon. It is our first trip to Starkvegas and can't wait to party with Tigers all weekend!!
