Minter has added 30 pounds since he arrived at LSU two summers ago. Minter, who now weighs 250 pounds, said that he has not lost any speed with his larger body.

Antbody know how tall this guy is? Could be one heck of a MLB

He did not do good in NCAA11 so I had to recruit a guy to replace him. Shep is also an impact player so that shows how much the game knows. To be honest when I see him around school he is taller than I am. I am 5'10 and he is taller than me.(thank god)

There is a reason Miles keeps mentioning Ryan Baker as a possibility at middle linebacker. I want the best group on the field. I don't care how big Minter is. If he isn't in the top group he shouldn't play. Minter will have a chance to prove himself. Don't get caught up on size. Middle Linebackers like Gary Brackett, London Fletcher, Jon Vilma make an NFL career out of beating out guys who are 15-20 pounds heavier and 2-3 inches taller than them. Ryan Baker is a very good player with a bright future. I would be fine with him in the middle.

Baker is staying at OLB.....MLB will be down to Minter/Welter, both have talent, maybe minter has a little more but the best one will start and whoever it is might not be kelvin sheppard next season or maybe never but whoever starts will be solid. Both players can play some football, it's just gonna come down to who wants it more in the spring and preseason.
