I'm just glad I'm not a negative , miserable person who has to have perfection and can't accept a modicum of success. Good luck in life. Merry Christmas!

Not too many coaches claim they have a winning record vs. Saban, so if you remove him, Miles is 7-2.

What fun are stats if you can't manipulate them.

I know that sounded good inside of your head. That may be because there is nothing else in there.

I was obviously making fun of the guy because he's probably the kind of guy that says Les only wins because of in state talent but also thinks that all the LA recruits go to Bama

If y'all are happy with chicken bowls and outback bowls for 4+ million a year then good for y'all. I've ended each of the last 3 years with a sour taste in my mouth and expect the same in 14 after 5-6 underclassmen bolt, but y'all are right. It's better than the 90s, so we should all be happy. Miles is awesome!
My favorite thing about this site is that it is always easy to spot somebody who doesn't have as many credit hours at LSU as Les Miles has national championships.

The argument that "oh noes we are in the outback bowl after being in the chicken bowl we're not elite" is so stupid.

Last year we had a very very good team. That team was BCS caliber. We lost 2 very close games to two top 5 teams, including the eventual National Champions. We beat USCe at home and Texas A&M at their house, both top 10 teams. We lost a close game to another top 10 team in the bowl game that we probably should have won in the best matchup that bowl game has ever seen.

This year was a rebuilding year where we still managed to go 9-3 with a great win over Auburn and a good win over A&M. We have a very winnable bowl matchup as well to take us to 10 wins.

Elite programs have down years. Bama in 2010, Florida in 2007 are two examples of this, they both went 9-3 with losses to a tough schedule (just like us). Notre Dame went to the national title game last year and lost 4 games this year. Losses happen when you play other really good teams.

Now, if we go another 3 years without playing in a BCS game/SEC title game, I will likely be on your side. But it is very premature to sound the alarm due to the last two years...

Agree with you for the most part and all good facts; think the frustration sets in from the mistakes, mental lapses, lack of discipline, up (TCU, AU, UGA, Gump 1st half, TAM) and down (OM, Furman 1st half, Gump 2nd half, Ark 3.99 Qtrs.) play that appears through season. This is naturally reflected on the coach that makes $4.5M to take the credit when due and blame as well and especially when fans feel these lapses prevent us from being that elite team as we were in 11 (then 1/9/12 happened). The CLM idolizers will deny any of this and site all the records which are outstanding and of course the departures on D how we won 9 and soon to be 10 games all valid but we should still strive for perfection from the highest paid staff which I will continue to support as long can afford the tickets!
We need to take care of Iowa this bowl and get primed for next season!

Only.one team has a shot at being undefeated. Every team in the country had mental lapses or lack of discipline. They've all lost. LSU won 9 games. So since Miles is such a bad coach, those 9 teams had to have something go wrong for a buffoon like Miles to win.

Bama blew their load against lsu in the second half. They looked mediocre against moo state and auburn. Saban had trouble getting that team up after the LSU game. They have no excuses, the best coach and most talent in the country yet they continue to lose to inferior opponents in November. He's almost cost them a title every season. 2009, blocked field goal, no call on pp7 int and jj goes down. 2011, ot loss to LSU should have cost them. 2012, manziel. Should have cost them, osu and nd play for the title any other year. 2013, gets 1 sec back cus they are bama, then lose on a 109 yd fg return. They have been extremely lucky. It finally.ran out

Prime example, one if ur best players pulls up on a punt return then blames it on hitting an invisible wire. They take after him, blame everything but yourself. He then throws a jump ball that gets intercepted, oh well that was just a bad call by the ref. No, not a bad throw, just bad by the ref. Yeah that focus and discipline rt there.

Perspective is everything.

As long as LSU is in the mix every year, then we should all be good with that simple fact.

I truly enjoy the fact LSU knocks heads with the nation's best every single year and I'd not have it any other way.

I suppose we could dream a little and imagine us in another conference where we'd dominate every year but what fun would that be.

I love our 'to be the best you gotta beat the best' situation.

Without having looked it up, to me the interesting thing is that probably no other coach (including Saban) has played 17 games against teams coached by one of the last 16 AP COTY.

I could be wrong, I just haven't bothered to look it up.
