Miles is 53-15 at LSU and during that same time Richt is 49-18. If Richt was our Head Coach with that kind of record, would he be under as much scrunity as Miles is now?

you act as if richt isn't on a very, very hot seat

richt also has the "i brought us back" mantra that miles does not have in his back pocket. that is buying him time

I'm quite certain that Richt is under heavy scrutiny right now

While no matter who Miles was, he'd have heat on him right now, no way in hell would it be nearly as bad if Richt were LSU's coach.

In fact, the criticism Miles is getting now would be cut in half if he wore his hat correctly and didnt give goofy soundbites in every interview. Miles started off with very little margin due to those two things. Now every mistake he makes is magnified in order to emphasize the "goofball" he has always been made out to be.

Its sad....but at least half of Miles' problems are due to things totally non football related IMO.

He is not.

Only rantards have him on a hot seat.

He may be but he has much better fan support. Georgia fans seem to have faith in him.

Richt's seat isn't that hot. he better win at least 8 though, or it'll be a long offseason.

If he had come to LSU when Miles did and had the record he has at Georgia since then, yes, he'd be in at least as much trouble as Miles is now.

If I were a Georgia fan, I would not be happy with the last couple of years, nor the start this year, but the reason he's in better shape at Georgia now than he would be at LSU having started here in 2005 is that he actually built the program at Georgia into a powerhouse before letting it decline. He's proven he can take them from the level they are now (or thereabouts) to the level they were in 2002-2007, so they have hope that he can do it again.

The difference between the two, and the only difference, is that Miles is in the ESPN/commentator spotlight more because of his speaking skills. Period. He gets picked on more and more people know his name.

They have blind faith in him. For some reason they can't see the program is slipping. Besides there is no way I would want Richt has the HC of LSU. In 10 years at UGA he averages 10 players a season being in trouble with the law, he doesn't run a disciplined program.

If he was doing a piss poor job of coaching like Less Miles has been doing then yeah.

Richt is on the hot seat currently. He may get 1 more year if he cant get to 9 or 10 wins this year. And I'm not sure he gets credit for bringing them back SFP. They were this kind of team before they hired him with Donnan.

There is not a coach out there that could have followed Saban at LSU.
